The CRV doesn't have the panoramic sunroof, but the touring does have the kick to open power liftgate.

Hp for the win.....Escape and a Livernois stage 1 pack for the fun factor. Great review.

The one thing not talked about in this video was mpg, which to many will be a deciding factor. Like you, I choose HP, but it comes at a price.

100% yes, watch my coverage of each individually for fuel economy numbers. Yes the Ford is thirstier than the Honda for sure.

Don't get defensive but I have several issues with this comparo since you seem to be a Honda guy at heart: As a current owner of a 2008 Accord (My 3rd Honda product actually) and a 2017 Escape, I no longer believe in Honda's old reliability rep. I think those advantage days are bygone now for Honda using my own time-in-for-repairs experience. If you were comparing to GM junk then yes I'd totally be with you. I disagree with your preference for the CRV interior on pretty much all counts you mentioned in this video. Worlds better? Not in my books at all. Sync3 is also better than Honda's infotainment tech. CRV engine pales behind the 2.0L and the tow rating is inferior (here's where worlds better would be descriptive in Ford's favor). car magazines can gush all they want about CVT, I despise them and am very glad Ford offered a proper transmission when everyone else is switching over to that terrible tech. Overall, Honda does an admirable and longstanding tradition with their sedans, but they have a long way to go against Ford in the SUV/CUV, and especially pickup truck classes of vehicle. And to be fair, all the Japanese automakers are still lacking in that segment, not just Honda

It didn't surprise me. of course Ford is more fun to drive and usually more powerful than Japanese competitors the only problem that Ford has is with EcoBoost engines which they claim better fuel gas mileage which is not true

Would've been cooler (or hotter I guess) if it went up to 200. Anyways I've never heard of a car temp readout that lets you adjust to within a tenth of percent!

What decision did you make. I'm looking at both of these. I like the looks of the Ford better but the room in the Honda has me torn.

I have an escape and it is very roomy and comfortable but mine is 8 years old so i t does not have and information screen but if my dad got the limited I would have one and I honestly would choose the ford

Interior space, mpgs, reliability, and resale favor the CRV - the pragmatic reasons why ppl buy CUVs over sports cars. It's only a tad louder and slower to 60mph, but significantly more efficient. If power is your main concern I'd go for the Forrester XT with better AWD sys and reliability before the Escape.

Do you know the guys at autoguide.com? Because you're both from Canada and you're using the excact same test vehicles they did when they made their video 3 months prior to yours. By the way, the back seat room is going to look bigger on the CR-V if you have the driver's seat pushed forward like you do in this vid.

@jeffsilver47307 жыл бұрын
You have little idea what the hell you're talking about. You seem clueless..... having driven both, the ford is better. Its also larger in the trunk space, much faster, better handling, more comfortable, more fancy (much more), and less money. Between these two... go with the Ford.
@JamesBergeron7 жыл бұрын
Sounds more like you have no idea actually. Check you facts before spewing garbage. Ford 34 cubic ft seats up, seats down 67.8 , CRV 39 cubic ft up and 75.8. The CR-V is considerably larger. Yes the Ford is faster I said that and it feels like it handles better I also said that, so what are you arguing about again? Is it more comfortable, that's subjective, I say no. More fancy? Fancy isn't a measurement of any kind but I'd say the Honda is worlds better interior wise, so would every other automotive review ever. Also the Ford I tested was MORE expensive than the Honda so there is that. Thanks for watching

I like the Kuga so ditching my really nice Qashqai and buying one. CRV is slightly larger than Kuga. It has more rear legroom and larger boot seats up and has raised ground clearance. My reason for buying a Kuga was good build overall, comfort and ride quality, Price vs Spec, better diesel engine than QQ 1.5 Renault K9K diesel. Just the right balance of internal space Vs fits ever shrinking UK car park spaces better than RAV4 or CRV. I like most Honda bikes but not a fan of their car styling either. My neighbour is a Honda mech and he is forever fixing people's cars so they are overrated.

That depends on the individual car, how its maintained and how hard it is driven. My cars always last because I look after them whatever model/spec.
