I had dinner at a banquet a couple years ago with the sales manager for a large multi-dealer group in the Chicago area. He commented that of all the brands they handled, he enjoyed driving Infinitis more than the others. He indicated they were just a more complete, more cohesive, and more consistent brand as a whole. While he liked the Acura MDX as a 3-row CUV, he said he would check out a QX60 when it was time for him to travel with his family -- again, just a nicer overall experience. I suspect this is probably what you experienced with this Q60.

Found me a Dynamic Sunstone 2018 RS with 4,100 miles on it. All electronic options, AWD, etc. $23k under original sticker, CPO and 39 months left of factory warranty.. I really like the car. Gets a lot of looks and compliments. Plenty of speed and power for me. Good gas mileage. 29mph on highway trips.

2017 Q50 RS400 AWD quarter mile 12.7 seconds, Lexus RC F quarter mile 12.9 seconds. This is because the Infiniti is very underrated from the factory, and actually makes ~375whp and ~350wtq, making both the HP and TQ at the crank over 400. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@troytruong82464 жыл бұрын
Aram Garibyan i like both. Id prefer the rcf because the ride is not stiff! I hate stiff ride. I like the front of q60 but not so much the rear. The rear of rcf is badass. Wide.

Very good review! Infiniti has gotten serious about the "driving" aspect of this new coupe. Also beautiful styling!

You have great reviews, no strong bias, and great "comparison information". I'm on my third Infiniti (RWD Q50 RS400) after decades of Germans and Jags, more value to me. The new 3.0tt is a great engine, torque everywhere, and I'm getting 5mpg more than the 3.7 G37 IPL I traded. Both the Q50/Q60 are beautiful cars, hiding 400 hp beasts when you want to get frisky. Keep up the great "informative" reviews.......

Alex - it might be cool to add curb weight and MAYBE a rough power-to-weight ratio when you do the engine overviews for models (probably only makes sense for performance cars) - it I find that is something I look up right away especially when shopping for something sporty which seems like every six months.

I miss the petite first gen G35 style. I owned a first gen (2006) G35 sedan w/ the six-speed manual and it was smaller than this coupe. The newer model Infiniti's meant to replace the G35/37 has gotten progressively larger and heavier.

The glove compartment is small because you can't fit an iPad? Maybe if it was meant to house tablets it'd be call a tablet compartment...
@TheLanard7 жыл бұрын
Right. The glove compartment was originally meant for...GLOVES. Not tablets.
@legaceez7 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that was used just as a point of reference for comparison implying other glove boxes do fit an iPad. Not that it necessarily has to fit an iPad to not be considered small but it makes it small relatively speaking...of course I'm not surprised critical thinking is not a strong skill around here.

I have a '03 S2000 now, but when I lust for a GT this on my short list. It's so sweet. In Forza7 this car drives and sounds almost like a 'Japanese Giulia' ! Way to go, NIssan - not much would make this car a whole lot better. And why not just cut to the chase and call this beauty...~Infiniti Skyline~ ??? That's a marketing slam-dunk!
@ARentz078 жыл бұрын
Very nice! Definitely going to give the Q60 a look (just started shopping for a carin this kind of segment). Though, I am not sure whether I want to have 2 doors or 4 - obviously not too concerned with practicality. But the Q60 to me is much more attractive than the Q50. I'd be interested how they drive in comparison.

Interesting, the performance numbers of the 3.0L twin-turbo V6 are similar to the Lexus RC F with the 5.0L V8. As a current owner of a Mustang GT, and a former owner of a 370z, I must say the Q50 is quite a looker, but I'd much prefer naturally aspirated.

SS S are you sure about that or just talking out your ass? I still see G37's that are still selling in the mid 20s and the Q40 inches closer to 30k...

T. Bigums The coupe will do a bit better but look at a Q50 after 2 years and compare it to a Lexus, BMW or Audi. The G37 coupe has a bit of a cult following in certain demographics and holds its value a bit better than the norm.

From someone who owned both Coupes in a G35 and currently driving a G37. I have some small pet peeves about this car. Please stop using Chrome plastic. That crap starts flaking off about 5 years of ownership. That Shinny black piano plastic needs to go. ugg. Why use that cheap crap in the interior? Other than that I think it looks awesome! How is the transmission on the new 2017 models? The G37 has a quirky transmission and I always find myself having to paddle downshift because the damn car doesn't know how to get into 3rd. Feels like it's going to stall but never has, it just has that bogged down feeling being in a higher gear than it should.

One area many european and other luxury makes falter in is front seat storage for small items. Bins and nets to put your stuff in. With a passenger along you have enough space for a wallet and maybe a pair of sunglasses. Anything else has to go in the arm console, which is often small. Add a woman with a purse and it's really confining. Even our large X5 has no more space to put things than a much smaller Volvo S60, which is no world beater itself.
@tendieman698 жыл бұрын
You probably don't want to loss the rear end of this car since it's open differential. No idea why they decided to do that, make this car not track-able, or even having fun aggressive driving. It's a pure muscle car.
