I've never been a Kia fan, but since I saw the new model of the Sorento and the space that even the 5 seats have is just incredible! It drives smoother than the Santa Fe Sport. The LX also have the Normal and Sport mode, not only Eco, plus you can drive it shifting, so even the 2.4GDI is powerful with 185hp! I reviewed A LOT of cars this past 6 months, and after thinking very well, I just got mine today! One advice, always ask for the oldest car in the inventory! The car that has more months in the parking lot, can be up to $1500 less! So I can tell you so far so good! Price was $30,265 all included, as shown in this video!

Great Review Cameron. This is a nice vehicle. I feel the sweet spot in the Sorrento line is the EX Model.

Good review. I have had my 2016 Sorento LX W/convenience pkg for a year now and am fairly pleased with it. The addition of the larger touch screen and dual zone climate controls for 2017 is a plus. I find the 4 cyl GDI engine to be adequate although I find myself manually shifting the car for some added zip. When the Sport mode setting is on, the shift points are different which will also give you a bit more zip. I agree with the buzzy engine comment and I think the cabin needs to be more quiet especially at highway speeds. Previous I had a 2011 Sorento which served me well.

I love my 2018 Sorento. The 4 gdi is very capable, and is decent on gas besides giving you power when you need it.

I have the base model 2016 which is basically the same as the 2017 and the power is good for me. I think their is too much of a tendency now for aggressive driving and if you want that you do need a V6. I had a 2012 before in the base trim and the power improvements are noticeable between 2012 and 2016/17 as thee power is in the lower range. The base vehicle more competes with a Rav 4 and Honda CRV for 2 rows. I am in Canada and there is no 2.4L with 3 rows. My trim only has the 2 rows. 3 Rows should be paired with a V6. Usually 4 cyl. engines are more whinny in most vehicles anyways.

This SUV with a smaller engine is not intended for big pulling power and it's for relaxed driving. this vehicle gives a larger than average interior.

The V6 is actually quieter. The modes are noticeable, but there is a big difference when in Sport mode.

Have you experienced any problems due to the fact that the motor might be too small for the weight of the vehicle? Also, does this version have 5 or 7 seats?

Driving modes loosen and tighten the steering wheel. On a high end sports cars driving modes changes engine performance.
