It's a beautiful vehicle. I test drove the 2017 last week. It had 41000 miles on it. Still acted like new. I was very impressed with the build quality and how it had held up to the use. I thought it handled extremely well and the power was quicker than I expected. Must be the transmission. The 2016 doesn't have nearly the same performance. Texas seems to be a Honda and Toyota dominated market. Not sure how Kia is going to break through that barrier, but if I needed a small AWD/4wd SUV, I'm pretty sure this would be it. If Kia and Hyundai would stop that crap about non-transferrable power train warranty, their market share would continue to grow. This significant "unadvertised" limitation just pisses people off when they find out about it, especially if they find out about it after they buy the car and then need to use it. That's my only beef with the maker.

The 2017 AWD SPORTAGE is one of the best...if not THE best sharpest and quality handling SUV on the road right now!!!! It out shines most current SUV 's to it's beauty, road handling and quality inside features>(comfort along with safety) inside and out...hands down!!!!

Base Models have 180 hp. The top model is 2.0 Liter, Turbocharged Horsepower 240. It's an okay city car. Its more than likely more reliable than Ford by default. so I'd rather go Kia if I had to pick

last I checked consumer reports kia was proven more reliable than ford hands down as a brand overall - 3 or 4 years ago I believe. don't know about now, but my money is on Kia over (F).ix (O).r (R).epair (D).aily; but that's just me - a disgruntled ex ford Taurus 1988 owner.

Just another warning especially if you're in Canada or northern US, their service schedule is ridiculous. Here in Canada, you have to have your car serviced every 6000 KM (not miles) to maintain your warranty. We spend more time taking the car for service than driving it.

Drove the base model.Handeled like a champ.Rugged suspension yet not hard.It is not quite though.The four is raucous and the road noise noticeable.Very messed up ,would buy it tomorrow if not so loud.This is coming from a Subaru owner.

hyundai,Kia have come a long ways in build quality.You get a lot of bang for your buck,more standard options than Toyota or nissan. Mazda and Honda are good cars also. I rate all the Japanese stuff above U S stuff although Chevrolet has gotten better . definitely stay away from Chrysler products. I worked in the rental car business for 37 years and drove new cars everyday.

For me the car looks good with the back better than the front. I don't like black interiors, just wear shorts and get in while you live in Phoenix. The burns will make an impression (any black interior). So why is there nothing about the auto braking, adaptive cruise, rear cross traffic warning, etc? Love the automatic rear hatch lift. For those who don't like the looks, well Hyundai makes a tamer version.

Looked to me like it was doing pretty good on that slushy country road. So it would probably be a pretty good daily driver that could get kids to school and the Parents to work and back. A couple of years ago their were a few times I would have liked a crossover. Now I got a pickup with 4x4. I still don't see any reason to knock these type of vehicles though.Seems to me that theirs good things to be said about a car that can get somebody to work and back when the weather turns bad. We usually don't get much snow where I live,but sometimes it snows unexpectedly.

A big No-Go, so says "Consumer Reports" newest update repair reviews. (April 2022😝 Only the 2019 gets a passing grade. The New 2017 model is the worst. Blown Engines, AC not working, Bad electrical problems, Bad fuel pump, etc.

Hyundai and kia’s whole safety, their quality, their saving energy are all under normal level of the whole car in the world, many Hyundai and kia driver repair their car a lot, and even safety, I have one friend, who rent Hyundai before, almost got accident on highway as the rotary table got problems, not the tire’s problem, the car’s problems, so my suggestion, never buy Hyundai and kia, their credit are not good, if you don’t believe me, try to ask persons who drove Japanese or germany’s car, also drove Korean car, which are better. Actually. Hyundai and Kia is one of the best car company in the world. Yes, in the old times, they were one of the worst, but now look at the new cars. Bribery that you speak is supposed to be "marketing." Yeah, Japanese car companies still lead the world competition, but that doesn't mean you should be rude and very disrespectful to other companies who can't "catch up." Hyundai and Kia are currently exceeding the customer's wants and expectations right now, while Japanese industries are making cars that blends way to much in the road that it doesn't even catch your eyes anymore while Hyundai and Kia are dominating it.
