PLEASE TURN YOUR SPEAKERS DOWN WHEN I TURN THE BIKE ON
Quick overview of my Thai bike, I missed some parts so I will list everything below. If you have a KLX250 in the USA and want to pimp it out this is also a good guide to get the most from your Dual Sport.
-363 Big Bore Kit done by Keng Engine in Chiang Mai
-API Tuner for Big Bore
-Front and Rear Ohlin suspension
-Acerbis Nylon Stretch Fork Seal Guard
-Zeta Fork bleeder for Ohlin (put on after video)
-Zeta Armor Bark Busters
-Renthal Ultralight Sprocket 48t/44t(own both) and 14t front
-EK520 Chain
-Zeta Pivot Shift Levers
-FMF Chinese copy full system
-Acerbis Pipe Protector
-Steel Braid Brake Lines
-Engine Bash Plate already on bike
-Racing Boy Aluminum RIms
-IRC Vulcanduro Tires
-IMS Pro Series Footpeg
-DRC Fender Eliminator with integrated turn signals
-Acerbis Front Fender Pull Strap
-RC Renthal Fatbar High bend from USA
-Renthal Grips
-Renthal Throttle Tube
-Fox Sticker Kit from BNS Speed Shop in Chiang Mai
-Custom Seat done by Narong Upholstery in Chiang Mai
-Zeta Brake Lever
-Wolfman Enduro Tank Bag
-Wolfman Front Fender Bag
-Rigg Adventure Rear Fender Bag
-Wolfman Tool Roll inside Rigg Bag
-RAM Mount for Iphone with charger
Keng Engine in Chiang Mai
/ kengengine
BNS Speed Chaing Mai
/ bnsspeedcm
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FIlmed on:
-Panasonic GH5
-PanLeica 8-18 Wide Angle Lens
-Rode Video Mic Pro Plus Shotgun
-Tiffen Variable ND Filter 67mm
-Cheap Chinese Tripod
Filmed in 4k 30fps. Settings file taken from Griffin Hammond's channel who lets other users take his GH5 setup file and import it. Great settings for people like me who don't know how to color grade yet and new to the camera. I wanted to use footage straight out of camera and it looks pretty good IMO. The weather was really messing with me going from bright sunlight to thunderstorms every 5 minutes so the exposure is off in some places.

Hey man, just wanted to say great video. I was looking at the 363cc kit from Keng engines but couldn't find anybody saying much about it online. I'm glad to hear you like it cause I'm really looking for more power from the EFI klx250.
@TokyotimTech
@TokyotimTech 5 жыл бұрын
Fair warning I have had some starting trouble with this kit but it's from the API, it only happens in super hot weather and when I'm racing/riding hard. It might be worth it to go with the 330 kit until Keng irons out the ECU issues. He warranties his work on my bike and is fixing it for free. He had to send the ECU to Bangkok so they could diagnose the problem and were waiting for it to come back. I think the 330 kit is the most reliable for now. That 363 power will make you horny though

This is an excellent video thank you! Could you do a video breaking the mods in 1/2 or 1/3s? 1/3 absolutely necessary (wise to proactively do, like the braided steel brake lines, suspension & exhaust) 1/3 nice if you can afford it, 1/3 just fun luxury, like a sticker kit & seat.

I replied to the other comment I had made bout a month ago but maybe you didn't notice it, so I'll try again. I'd really like to see more videos from you. Maybe show your CRF too? Your bike is so cool and I haven't found anyone else with the 363 kit so far. I'd really like to know more about it. Would you like to make a video review about the big bore? How much power it makes, top speeds with different sprockets, ride comfort for longer highway trips, and one of the most important things, reliability? Are the big bore kits popular there in Thailand? There seems to be very little information in English at least on the EFI versions of KLX with big bores. The thing is that I've also got the KLX but here in Europe we do have other bikes readily available unlike there in Thailand. I've grown very attached with my KLX and I'd much rather want to make it more powerful than to buy another bike, could also be a cheaper choice even. I'd also like to see more trail riding videos from you. The few you've already made are really good, the quality and everything. BTW I also heard Keng Engine were working on a 383 kit, sounds pretty sweet I hope they'll get it working.
@TokyotimTech

I could do another video when I get back but the bike is in Thailand and I work in other countries, so as soon as I built the bike up I had to leave. The bike makes 34hp at the wheel on the dyno I will try and find the sheet. Yes the big bores are very popular but most people get the 330 kit or 300 kit. Keng has some vidoes of the 383 kit up on his FB but I havent talked to him about it yet. For sprockets you def want to run 13/48 for Enduro and maybe 13/44 if you want to do any highway
@ThePopmas
@ThePopmas 4 жыл бұрын
@@TokyotimTech34hp at wheel sounds pretty sweet. I chatted a bit with Keng and I might be getting the big bore maybe next year if I find it worth it. Can't wait to see more content when you get back to Thailand. Winter is coming so I have plenty of time to watch all the videos I can find and drool over all the possible mods for my bike 😂

Veeeery nice bike man! How are those IRC knobby tires on the road at cruising speed (80-100kmh)? And more importantly where did you manage to find them? Tire choices seems a bit limited here in Thailand. I have some Duro knobbies on mine and they're awesome off road but they absolutely absolutely ABSOLUTELY suck to on the road and unfortunately I live in BKK so I have a long way to go on the highway to get to trails out of town =/ Also is that a full ohlins cartridge kit up front or is it more like an ohlins springs kit? Thanks! I like your bike a lot haha.
@TokyotimTech
@TokyotimTech 4 жыл бұрын
PatP I believe Keng picked up the tires for me but I am positive Burning Shop sells them. I don’t have any issues on the highway but I’m also not as picky as some guys. I go back and forth to Pai on this bike and I ride pretty hard on the throttle. Not a lot of straight highway on that route but I probably wouldn’t want to do like an hour of just straight highway. Up front it’s just a spring kit

Nice bike love your mods. Did you go for a bigger injector? I've got a klx 250 with the 330 cc Kustom Kraft bore up. I took off all the electronics went with a slider carb 34mm ,fitted race cams , fmf q4 full system . Cdi and took out the ecu. Huge power gain and loads more low end torque. I'm in Indonesia and the klx 230 has just been released, air-cooled fuel injection, should be a popular bike. Thanks for uploading.

Axeman To be honest I’m not sure everything is sold by the mechanic as a package, I’m still learning how to work on bikes slowly because I’m pretty but I’m not too bright. The KLX230 seems to be pretty underpowered for its weight I would like to ride one in person though

Sampop Unfortunately due to physics you can’t have your cake and eat it to, you have to ask yourself how technical you’re going off-road. 14/40 is your highway cruising and can do gravel/dirt roads. It’s pretty miserable in first gear trying to do any kind of slow muddy technical rocks or roots

Sampop No problem dude I have a CRF Rally in the USA I ride when I’m there it’s at 14/40 right now, perfect for 120khm but hard to go off-road on nasty muddy trails. It’s fine for gravel or fire roads or smooth single track. First gear is too high to go slow. I have a 13T coming so I think 13/40 is perfect for cruising highway but still having some low first gear capability. I might go 13/42 or 13/44 to experiment. I do a lot of highway though in the states
