The Lexus RX 350 gets Toyota’s Safety System + Package standard for 2017, and all versions can now be had with the F Sport package. That F Sport package includes an adaptive suspension and very comfortable sport seats in addition to some nice bits of trim inside and out. It’s not inexpensive, but Mike Perkins says it transforms the RX 350, making its ride feel like that of a regular car instead of an almost 6-foot-tall crossover.
The RX 350’s 3.5-liter V6 delivers 295 hp and 267 lb-ft and can get it to 60 mph in about 7.5 seconds. That’s on par with the Volvo XC90, but a full second behind the Acura MDX and BMW X5. Still, 7.5 seconds to 60 mph is not slow, and the RX 350 never felt underpowered during Mike Perkins’ testing. EPA estimates of 20 mpg city, 27 highway, and 23 combined put the RX 350 right in line with its competition. Its available 18.4 cubic feet of cargo with seats up is less than most competitors, though, and the angle on its liftgate makes tall items a problem. Read more on CarGurus: cargur.us/h5ww9

Haha Lexus design is the most ugliest Suv out there. Never compare this bouncy bulky underperformed poor handling any Lexus to Even Smaller Mercedes GLC. All around the world including Japan, only Foolish North Americans overpay for Toyota/Lexus. Go to Japan Mercedes are for Elites and upper hard working class while in North America Lexus is the Luxury because Americans can't afford to maintain Mercedes anymore. Japanese are ripping you off by giving you Fake Mercedes called Lexus

Guys. Toyota, Lexus has never been known for making the best looking vehicles around, but rather extremely reliable ones. I for one would pick reliability over looks any day. I had two 4Runners, so I'm not just talking. There may be a lot of better looking vehicles out there , but few could match Toyota's dependability.

You are NOT just talking. I've had my 4 Runner for 17 years (315,000 miles) and it is still going strong. I like the look of the BMW X6 better - but you're right. You just can't go wrong with Toyota/Lexus dependability. This is going to be a hard choice...

I have a 2006 ES330 with over 400,000km, and and have no problems, so yes Lexus is super reliable.

I would rather live like a lion for a day than to live like an Impala for 100yrs. It means as long as I can afford it I'd rather drive Mercedes for just 150k miles than to sit and drive boring Lexus or any Japanese only because I want to drive the car 200-300k. Life is too short to waste it on boring cars. And let's face the truth No Japanese car especially Toyota/Lexus can pass 140k without leaking or burning oil or have issues. Even elites in Japan drives Mercedes. Only North Americans have been fooled to believe Lexus is Luxury SUV. Mercedes are Well Built while Lexus are just MADE to mimic Bimmer Mercedes or even Audi. And Besides who told you Mercedes aren't reliable? It is only again North Americans can't afford the maintenance and also have very very poor Mercedes mechanics compared to Europe or even roadside Mercedes mechanics in Africa or Middle East. Go to Germany they have CClass for taxis and they can go half a million with ease Same as Africa and Middle East. Japanese are throwing dust on you Americans eye and laughing at while they're enjoying Quality German Engineering

Those thigh-bolsters, though. I’m 5-9 165 lbs, and a small frame. When I sit in those sport seats I sit on top of those bolsters unless I squeeze me knees together, which just defeats the purpose and just feels weird. Who wants this in a sports luxury vehicle ? While shopping used Rx350’s F Sport I’ve noticed that those thigh-bolsters are typically smashed or wrinkled , so I certainly can’t be the only one.

its up to you, iam thinking the rx450 is hybrid so that's a no no for me, but if I was to buy one it would be the rx350 f-sport hands down, I was thinkin of buying a GS350 car, but the suv is off the ground higher and a bit bigger too and looks just like the GS350 car. buttom line its up to you, do your homework first . I did my homework and it took a long time, cause thise vehicles aren't cheap.

If you can’t figure out how to get back to the map screen, use the huge “MAP” button next to the mouse controller. This is just like Audi MMI, Mazda, Acura and a dozen others; dedicated buttons for main functions. I agree with some of the other comments; please show us the vehicle and not your face for the entire review.

Great review. It blows my mind that such a large company like Toyota have the most dated and unusable tech. The Lexus is over priced now considering its had the basic same drivetrains since inception. The competition has really surpassed this. Even the less luxury options like the MDX for less money

Agree about the dated infotainment and the boringness of it...i actually almost bought the RX last yr and NX 2yrs ago (and nothing really bad about these vehicles) but I just couldn't justify the prem pricing and instead chose something on the practical side...ended up with a '17 CX9 Signature that actually could compete with the RX in almost all features other than the brand/badge but was $12K less with similar features and specs plus the driving dynamics better on the 9.

Grill makes the vehicle looks like a laughing cow on wheels. I drove it , the interior looks great ,the exterior is a disaster . 0 to 60 should be a real challenge for rx350, it feels extremely slow

Lexus, has ruined their brand with that extra ugly front grill. I have owned three Lexus RX. I can no longer buy there product as it has become the most unattractive SUV-Car on the road. When I spoke to my dealer, he said that half of there customers like the new face grill but half really hate the new look and have left the dealer as customers. The Toyota/Lexus Chairman should be fired,as he has very little taste or knowledge of what the customer wants for the looks of there vehicle in North America.. To have lost half of there base is astounding. His board of directors must be political hacks, who are in the Chairman's back pocket. Bye,Bye Lexus...
