The Lexus RX is one of the best selling luxury SUVs in the United States. After driving this RX 350, I can see why. The refinement and smoothness are extraordinary and are worth the price of admission. I will say, the 2020 RX is superior so please see that review as well.

Nice review!!! Last year I was shopping for SUV, my budget was 40-50k. I test drove Acura, Telluride, Audi, Mercedes and finally bought 2019 RX350. For the price I paid, I got a great overall value.

I love the bamboo/parchment interior on the RX. I like the styling of the fourth gen RX, but I’m still so attached to my third gen RX! No plans on getting rid of mine anytime soon!

Just paid cash for an L/Certified 1-owner clean carfax almost fully loaded (except for the ML sound and para roof) 2017 RX 350 with 26k miles for $35,000 out the door! Loving it so far. Gotta love the bargain you can get buying a car in this end of year period.

My wife just bought the 2017 Lexus RX 350 with 29,000 miles from Lexus of winter park and man it drives so smooth. So much room and it’s just one fine machine. It feels like I’m driving my gs 350. If you get an RX you will not regret it.

I really did enjoy this review! Everything you said was on point, it was good consumer information even though I don't intend to buy an RX anytime soon. You're right the interior is where this thing really shines above the rest. The one thing that the Lexus RX didn't have until the 4th generation was the nice Lexus analog clock.

I do think this is a cool as a whole I've actually always been a fan of the Lexus grill as I feel it really makes a statement and most importantly, it's different from everyone else. My friend and I both have 2006 RX's. Mine is a hybrid 400h and hers is the 330. Mine is sooo much quicker in acceleration and so much more fun to drive. Is that your experience and is it similar in newer RX models?

I have not tried an RX hybrid but, I did drive a GS 450h and surprisingly a 2017 Camry hybrid and they were both rockets lol. Other hybrids like the NX300h and the LS500h that were built for efficiency did not feel as quick. So I guess it depends on the model and what Lexus is trying to accomplish with that particular model

Kevin - One question I had is whether to get the updated 2020 or an older 2017 model? The newer 2020 is slightly better for handling but is that at the expense of the comfortable ride of the 2017? Is the improved handling of the 2020 really that noticeable if you're not going to push it anyway?

Kevin, I bought my 2013 Acura RDX with 74K miles in mint condition for $19,8 almost 6 months ago & you know how much the dealer would buy i from me for now? I'm assuming maybe around $11-12K if I'm lucky! Them 2013-2018 RDX's value is dropping like a stone which I don't quite understand compared to Honda CRV? What vehicles would you consider buying new that would retain at least 60% of their value in 5 years? The Lexus RS350, Mazda CX-5 or the Honda CRV & Pilot would be my guess. BTW, I'm digging the 2019 Infiniti QX50, saw one for sale online in Arizona for $27,400 although it was only FWD, talk about depreciation! Three other vehicles that are appealing to me are the 2020 Chevy Blazer, Acura RDZ & the VW Atlas. Would love to see you review one or all of them in the future if you ever get the opportunity.

Yea unfortunately Acura cars and Infiniti vehicles really plummet in value. Acura is not like the Honda counterpart as Acura is considered “Luxury” even Lexus does not hold its value as well as the Toyota equivalent parts always cost more money on luxury cars. If resale value is what you are worried about, look no where else other than Toyota and strictly Toyota. Every other car will literally plummet. I do like the Korean cars due to the price they come in at but they won’t hold value better either

Aww Geeze Dude... right now a 2017 RX350 with 60k miles is $37,000! $7,000 more than when you review this! Such a bummer. But I'm so so so so so so so tempted to trade in my extraordinarily boring 2018 Camry (which is just SO CAMRY) for a Lexus RX... Pretty sure I won't regret it but even with a trade in price of $23,000 its a big jump up to get the RX.

The interior is wayyy too small for me. I wanted to get one but the A-pillar was right in my face. My rental Rav4 has better head room so I was surprised. I'm now looking at a GX 460.

@@MeynMotorGroup Oh Hell Yea, A Warranty Is A Must When purchasing A Euro Vehicle. I recall 25 years ago my Jewish boss stating that Lexus' had no soul... At that time he was leasing a BMW 750 IL, later on he leased an Audi A8. Regarding Scotty, the one thing that I've learned from him is to stay away from Euro purchases (leasing is ok), and to buy either a Toyota or Honda product. So in that sense I think that Scotty is providing a valuable service to the community.

Actually i wouldn't even buy Honda without a warranty, Toyota really is the no BS company to trust and actually the Korean cars as well they have really made some great strides in making their smaller affordable cars with port injected only engines. I def think Lexus has a soul tho those are some very good driving cars even if they are not quite as dynamic as the Euro stuff I still enjoy driving a Lexus on regular streets.

Audio quality sounds good, but overall volume level is low. See if you can raise it up without it going into distortion. I know some editing programs will show the audio levels and they usually have a guide as to where you want them. I don't mean to be picky, just want your videos to be top notch! Overall great job on the review!

Get a decibel meter and check how quiet each car is. I haven’t seen anyone doing it. Use RX to be the bench mark. Interesting to know!

Yea no one really does that because those tests will always yield to inaccurate results. Even if you measured the same car over and over you will get different results because there are so many variables like what tires the cars are running, how windy the day is, and whether you are on the same roads. So it can't really be properly measured just gotta verbally explain it as best as possible

My 30 year old Chinese dentist has a 2020 Lexus RX350 fresh out of dental school! I'm assuming his parents bought it for him or how else could he have afforded a $61K brand new vehicle on top of the $150K student loan he would have to pay back (assuming he even had to take out a loan)? Well, for us blue collar working stiffs, I guess we have to settle for second rate Lexus such as the one you're featuring here. But, I'm alright with a 3 year, 60K mile Lexus for $30K as long as I put some tape over the mileage odometer, lol.
