I actually bought a 2016 MKZ last year. While I really like my car, I kind of wish I had waited a year. I like that they put real buttons on the center stack and included the heated and cooled seats on actual buttons (in mine, I have to turn them on using the touchscreen, which disappears when I shift into reverse). BTW, the seats are actively cooled, not just ventilated. If I leave mine on at the highest setting, it will feel like I am sitting on a block of ice after a half hour or so. Also, you can use the paddle shifters in either D or S. The S is still fully automatic, it just adjusts the shift points and tightens the suspension for a sportier feel.

I jsut said the same thing....I just leased a new 2016 just two months ago and the 2017 wasnt in yet and within the next two weeks they had a 2017...but to be fair i wouldn't have gotten all the rebates/incentives either...lol but love the new center stack with Sync 3 and the front baby Continental grill.

It's a real American Made Product it's a great car that I just brought myself. It has so much to offer in a very comfortable smooth riding automobile that have real working features. Before you buy another auto take a test drive of the 2017 it's great. The only thing it need a little more power in sound system at least 400 watts RMS. But my plans to put in a sub bass 200 watts in the car but the sound system is very clean in sound now. I gave up a 2014 Camaro SS Convertible for this car and I don't feel sorry about that at all. I tried my best to find a 2017 or 2018 and even 2019 Lincoln MKZ Reserve with this exact spec seen here. With the white Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat. Luxury Package: which includes the full-LED headlights and Revel Ultima sound system. The Climate Package: which includes heated steering wheel and heated rear seats. The Technology Package: which includes semi-autonomous parallel parking and reverse vertical parking. Along with the Optional retractable panoramic roof. Yeah, near impossible. The few that I have seen are really obscure or are quickly sold. These cars are still very popular to those who are looking. It doesn't help currently that in mid 2021 the used car market is extremely inflated. Oh and you can forget trying to find a 3.0L twin turbo V6 with all-wheel drive. Even the front wheel drives. Most of these are the 2.0L single turbo EcoBoosts with front-wheel-drive. Even with that engine the all-wheel drives are rare. The MKZ Black Label with a white interior and white exterior also equally rare. Although quite oddly the ones that seem to be easily findable are the Black Label and even Reserves which have the frankly terrible-looking Red Wine (for Black Label), and Thoroughbred [Orange]. And some obscure Brown seat interior for Reserve. The exterior colors are usually red wine to match the awful interior of the Black Label, or black for the Thoroughbred. At least the black makes sense. Both of these colors are equally in my opinion extremely ugly, and may explain why there are so many of them out there. They seem to be undesirable. And I can see why. Also the "Red Wine" interior on the Black Label seems to wear off if exposed to Sun over the years or is in a high contact area. You don't have the same problem with the Chalet white interior Black Label, or the Cappuccino interior Reserve. At this point you're better off finding the equally obscure 2017-2018 Ford Fusion _Platinum_ trim. Which I might add I've only seen come in a white interior variant with other exterior colors. However that only comes with the 2.0L EcoBoost in front-wheel-drive, there are AWDs out there but they are obscure and again, rare. Anyway this is been my rant on the Lincoln MKZ, thanks for coming to my TEDTalk. P.S. Booo Ford-Lincoln for killing the Fusion, MKZ, and now Continental.

I was in the market for a Lexus ES 300h, Infiniti Q50 Hybrid, or a Ford Energi Titanium PHEV. Test drove all and the Ford today. Decided to walk across the street to the Lincoln dealer. I absolutely LOVE the rear of the MKZ, and absolutely HATE that cheesy 'super-hero' front grille. Was pleasantly surprised by the new for 2017 Jag-esque front treatment...and bowled over by the sticker: $42,000. Decided to take it for a spin, and was thoroughly impressed. I could care less about racing Tesla's from light-to-light...obviously more on MPG, so speed and quickness in a non-issue for me. Don't know what options were on the reviewers car that took it to $52K, but the one I drove seemed to have everything including a wicked Pano roof. The MKZ-h was imply head and shoulders above the others I mentioned.

Lincoln decided to redesign the grilled for the 2017 model year. The Lincoln Continental Concept car inspired the designers to go this route. Lincoln says that the Continental-inspired grill will be on all Lincoln cars, crossovers, and Navigator within the next couple of years.

Just curious, am i the only one who prefers the unique and very striking grille on the 2013-16 MKZ over the Jaguarish grille they now use? To me the MKZ has always had a very stylish body..with that winged split grille being the crowning touch. I prefer smaller, lighter cars (i drive a 2016 GTI) but I admit these things still catch my eye when i see one on the road...which is sadly rare.

A few nitpicks. You said the V6 was supercharged when you were mentioning it, but on the stats you put on screen it says Twin Turbo. Also, the hybrid doesn't use a turbo. It's an Atkinson cycle 2.0 non-turbo.

I love the MKZ. The panoramic sunroof is p. slick. I like the previous version's interior control panel better though, it looked more cool; with the touch sensitive controls. Also this car is an Lexus ES competitor and I'd take it any day over some dumb Lexus. The ES doesn't have any of the cool styling as this does, the industrial design of the MKZ blows away anything from Lexus IMO. People love to hate on American cars, but come on, these are freakin cool looking. Also, this isn't really a competitor to the XTS, the XTS is a full sized sedan and much more expensive at equivalent trims, so basically its one tier up. The MKZ is a ES/C-class/A4 etc competitor.

No Continental competes with CT6, ATS is a 3 Series competitors. MKZ competes with XTS because they're both Front wheel drive Midsize Luxury Sedans. The CTS is rear wheel drive which make it a Lexus GS competitor or BMW 5 Series

+Camerons Car Reviews The XTS is a full sized car like the MKS and priced similarly. While the MKZ is front wheel drive and the CTS & ATS are rear wheel drive they are priced and sized similar to the MKZ and more competitive with them.

People love to get stuck on "front vs rear will drive" and presume it makes the car the same. There is much more involved, and more importantly size,, fit and finish and price range now days. Cars have advanced so much, don't get locked up in the platform as it !/=equivalence.

+Tim Germany Well with Lexus repesenting as the only strong Japanese luxury brand, I can see why its a little far fetched to summarize it as "Japanese luxury brands" but honestly, Lexus and the Infiniti Q50 in particular are definitely better than Linclons
@timgermanyjr8 жыл бұрын
So you chose one model from one manufacturer that Lincoln doesn't even offer a competitor to? Infiniti is the same junk Nissan is and the Lexus ES doesn't hold a candle to the MKZ. Japan doesn't build any direct competitor better than the Z, C, and X. The NX is close but arguably uglier so that's a win for Lincoln. I won't bother comparing Acura.
@d.akhtar90808 жыл бұрын
why buy a lincoln when you can its fully loaded Ford counterpart and still save money? At least the Japanese do a better job at differentiating their luxury brands from their normal ones
@timgermanyjr8 жыл бұрын
I just came out of a fully loaded 42000 dollar Fusion Titanium and into a non loaded 42000 dollar MKZ. I like the Lincoln better. The leather is way better, it's quieter, rides better, has more warranty, and looks better. The equipment I gave up wasn't that important. Lane keep assist, parallel park assist, front sensors, and adaptive cruise. I really don't use any of that stuff. Oh the Lincoln also books and holds it's value better. Black book gives you no adds for all the tech features beyond what's standard on a Titanium.

isnt the mkz more expensive to maintain than an audi?
@waynejune13778 жыл бұрын
Typically no Audi tends to be alittle higher to maintain if you follow all audi maitainwnce guidlines. Also Audi is one of VW's luxury brand And Lincoln is a ford in recent days VW has been having some issues with their diesels and with their dual-cluch trannys plus the Audi parts tend to be alittle more expensive...As where the ford products have had programming issues with their dial-cluch (Not sure if the MKZ has one 2016 MKX that we own doesn't)thay is fixed by a dealer reprogramming the computer (done under warranty) Frankly both companies build a nice product the Audi tends to be more sporty and the Lincoln more composed and mature. Ford had an issue with the 3.7L twin turbo V6 ecoboost with them running too hot when pushed too hard and proper maintenance wasn't done to keep the injectors clean...but from what I've heard that's been fixed but the MKZ doesn't have that engine anyways the MKX has it as an upgrade choice
