Great review, by the way. Helped me decide on my 2019 MKZ 3.0 AWD with all the features (but not the black label). I paid $36k for a mint one with 14k miles. Still have full bumper to bumper until the end of 2023. I definitely overpaid. If I purchased last year, I could have gotten it for $30k [I think]. Overall, it's a monster. And you're right about the auto high beams. They work flawlessly every time. My 2015 Jaguar XF was hit or miss with the auto high beams. I'm only averaging 21.5 mpg, but I drive it like I stole it. Love the panoramic roof, Revel Ultima and massaging heated and ventilated seats. And how did I ever live without the auto hold. Great video, brother. All the haters have never driven one, so they won't understand.

Definitely a lot of things that could go wrong, but nothing as of yet has gone wrong. Actually as I type this, it has done this weird thing under hard acceleration where it’ll go bump bump bump, but it’s only happened like 3 times. Not sure if it’s the traction control system kicking in or what but that’s something it’s done. Extended warranty is a good idea - I don’t have one. Great review, I last year in 2020 I had someone did a hit & run on my car. Whiles my car was being fixed they gave me a 2019 Ford Fusion Titanium which I did like, I do see a little similarities in the cousins Mkz& Fusion. I just moved to Minnesota a couple months ago and got stuck on Christmas Eve in the show. I am looking at a AWD vehicle, I am not a fan of SUV's. I have narrowed down to Volvo, Infiniti and now Lincoln. I've heard Volvo having electrical issues and the Infiniti Q50 issues with their "Steer By Wire" system but Infiniti is still on the table. But I totally forgot about the Lincoln. Coming from a 2018 Toyota Camry which I do like, you get a lot for your money it seems with this Lincoln especially being a luxury car.
@703Speed3 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, I like the Q50 and the Volvo! But, if you want something that Is VERY comfortable, decent on gas, and very quick, I would definitely try to find a 2017+ MKZ 3.0 AWD. I really like mine, and would recommend it 100% to anyone looking to get one. All wheel drive is great in the snow (and great off the line too🤓). You would not regret it! Good luck on your potential purchase!

You are correct. It's one of the best bargain out there used but I can see why they axed it. Overpriced with all the options new. I've tried the hybrid, 2.0t and 3.0t awd. The hybrid had great milage but doesnt feel or drive the same. I got every option except the inflatable seat belt on my 3.0t awd. I see You don't have the drivers package which has torque vectoring and that makes a big difference in sport mode. The 20 speaker revel ultima isn't that loud but has the best sound if you use high bit rate music. Minor complaints: my full articulating led headlight upgrade option looks more modern but doesnt light up the road as well as the standard hid. With the panoramic roof, you have that crescent metal beam that limits your trunk pass through when folding the seats down. Major complaint: fuel economy. I know 400hp but 94 octane is expensive and harder to find outside big cities in Canada. It cost lots here. Today it's about $6.60 a gallon. This car needs that new 10 speed. In the end, it's still a way better value than a used german car. A great car if you dont plan to resell it.
@703Speed3 жыл бұрын
Yeah new they are def pricey. Yeah I wish I had the drivers package, cus like u said u get the focus rs AWD system. Yeah fuel economy isn’t great, but it’s not awful. But with these gas prices going up and using premium for full power, it isn’t cheap to run

I got a 2005 Lincoln LS Ultimate (incredible handling and ride, I would still buy one today if I could find one in mint condition) in 2008, and (huge mistake, but not in a bad way, more in a financial way) in 2010 I got a MKS S Ecoboost (The S came on top of the Ecoboost with special rims and body color moldings, and smoked headlights. Mine had brown leather interior, every option except for self parking). I had 350 hp from the twin turbo 3.5 V6, and did 0-60 in 5.5. They changed the MKS for the 13 model year and I hated how it looked. Now I'm looking at this exact car, and I gotta have that sliding roof. If I get one I will be sure to post a video.
@703Speed3 жыл бұрын
Oh man that’s sweet. Lincoln always has a sleeper (That not many people seem to know about). Wow I didn’t know the mks had 350 hp, that’s sick. If u do end up getting a 17+ 3.0, you will be very happy. I love mine, gets pretty good mpg and cruises very smooth on the highway. And you can’t forget that power. It really holds its own against other cars u think might beat it. Good luck with your purchase. You will not regret it

@@703Speed The only thing I'm worried about is that I keep my cars long term, and with twin turbos and direct injection, it puts a LOT of pressure on the engine. I'm also looking at the infiniti Q70 with the 5.6L, and a Lexus GS350 F. Both are RWD based, the MKZ is FWD based. I always prefer naturally aspirated as opposed to turbos as well. But checking the prices, you are right. I can get an MKZ 3.0T for under 25k at the dealer auction, probably closer to 20k since they are discontinued now and the value dropped.

Looking at a 2019 or 2020. By the way the prices are now high on these. Eyed one up the price went up 4grand on a 2019. Is the the 3.0 turbo almost to much power. Where it wouldn't be good in snow. Debating on the 3.0 or 2.0. thought? Debating on a Infiniti q50 awd or the mkz awd...? Thoughts
@703Speed3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I know it’s crazy!! Paid $22k for this December 2019, out 22k miles on it and now it’s worth 30k! Insane! And I definitely think it’s the perfect amount of power. Not too much, not too little. It’s also very good in the snow. I heard the 2.0 has a lot of engine problems. I would 100% recommend getting a 3.0T AWD. GREAT balance of luxury and performance. You will not be disappointed. Believe me...

I purchased my 2019 MKZ 3.0 with the panoramic roof, massaging front seats, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and the Revel Ultima system. It has more bells and whistles. I just got out of a 2015 Jaguar XF, which was quite nice but lacked many of the creature comforts. This MKZ is a monster. I actually get a little scared when it get on it. I don't know any sedan in this price range that compares. I paid $36,000 in this crazy market. It only had 14k miles and is mint. But it. The lexus es doesn't compare. I could have purchased a pre-owned BMW or AUDI or MERCEDES . I settled on this one, and I have no regrets.

I wouldn't be too concerned about parts. The new lincoln SUV uses the same engine and there are many fusions around to find old parts. You will probably be in an electric car by the time this gets junked. I'd be more worried about the price of 93 octane gas.

You definitely want to make sure that you are getting the Revel Ultima with 20 speakers. The system that has the aluminum speaker covers. I’d also say look for one with the drivers package. If you can’t find a low mile black label, look at the MKZ 3.0 AWD Reserve trim level. If you go that route, get the tech pack, climate pack, and (if you want black grille, nicer wheels, and the focus RS differentials) get the drivers package.

What is this tune you speak of and is it a DIY thing or does the dealer have to do it? Also, does it affect gas mileage significantly?

Look up livernois tune for a 2017+ MKZ 3.0. It is something you order and can hook up to your OBD ii port. Not sure about MPG’s, but I know it makes like 390 wheel horsepower which is very impressive
