I been having all these issues with my Malibu it’s a 2016 LT turbocharged and I would take it in to the dealership and they fix it and find something else wrong. Brake booster and vacuum pump fixed at separate times but back to back. Now I was told by one dealership my camshaft, vacuum pump, ring, gasket, bolt, o ring and all that good stuff. They went and fix that after it was fixed they told me I needed a timing chain! These are some cars that if you take it in to get it fix they will find something else wrong with it.

Sounds like they are pulling the wool over your eyes. Timing chains are not serviced like timing belts .

@@christopherjpeters I mean I been in and out of Dealership and it’s one thin after the other. I have not seen any recalls but no one is complaining to the company but I’m just over it. I wouldn’t advise the model I got to anyone

my 2017 Malibu was having same issue after changing few sensors and nothing was resolved i finally found the issue. The Intercooler hose to throttle body was loose and leaking air i replaced the clap because original clap is so weak i bought one at autozone for 8 bucks and after so many wrong diagnosis finally my car is running like a brand new. unfortunately theres little info and knowledge about this issue

Im having this problem. Car takes forever to accelerate and it doesn't seem to get the boost from the turbo at low mid rpms

Definitely sounds like an intake hose popped off or a restriction somewhere. You should also have a check engine light on.

The first thing is to read what trouble codes. It sounds like your engine is in limp home mode. It's designed to protect itself from damage when there is a fault. That's why the reduced power.

I got my premier 2017 with 12k miles, now it's up to 42k the 2.0 turbo is meant to run with turbo my low engine power came on and it won't get out of its own way, mind u it's got 250 hp normally DO NOT CONTUINE TO DRIVE ANY OF THEM UNTIL U GET IT TAKEN CARE OF . MINE SHOWED P2139 OR 38 I FORGOT, BUT IT WAS JUST A THORTTLE POSTION SENSOR EASY FIX DONT MAKE A SMALL FIX INTO A BIG 1❤

I have several codes on my 2017 chevy malibu 1.5l ecotec, P0037,P0036,P0102,P171A,P171B,P0097,P2119,P00F4 and the fuse #76 (ecm i believe) keeps blowing, at first the fuse would blow every 4 days, now it blows instantly after a wrong fuse was used to replace the 15amp #76 fuse. Any help or suggestions much appreciated have a blessed day

Sounds like you have a short to ground in that circuit. You might need to aquire the schematics for your car and trace the circuit back to the source. Instead if using fuses you can get a reset able circuit breaker to put in its place until you find the cause.

My 2016 Malibu has the engine code for Engine Underboost and Throttle body air flow performance. And the same house in the video of mine kept popping off. I’m getting a new clip but what should I focus on fixing first. Underboost or throttle body cause it’s all causing my car to jerk when I drive.

It's probably the same problem. The clip may not help if the Grove the clip sits in is worn out on the throttle body.

Hello Chris! I need to locate the PCV Valve in my 2016 Malibu LS. I would like to replace it but I don't know where it is.

Off the top of my head I don't know either but they are generally located coming off of the valve covers and sometimes close to the oil fill cap. If you know what the valve looks like it should be easy to spot. You will probably have to remove the plastic cover from the top of your engine to access it. Hope this helps

It may not have come apart there but your intake wraps around and goes into an intake cooler. There are several places we're it could have come apart.

I'm looking at a 2016 Malibu from the dealership. It has a P0299 code. The dealer stated "Low voltage on the battery caused the code. The battery has been charged, and the code has not come back". Is that a possibility? Or is that just a used car salesman trying to make a sale.. Thank you!

That P0299 is a low boost code. Thus means that the ECU detected low output from your turbo during a particular driving condition that requires a higher output. So to answer your question, no low battery voltage is likely not the cause of this code. I would look for a boost hose leak or a clogged charged air cooler.

P0299 indicates that your turbo charger is not producing the expected output. I would look for a disconnect pipe in your engine compartment much like I found in this video. Or you have a dirty or damaged intake pressure sensor. 150 to diagnose is pretty standard unfortunately. I know that's not what you want to hear but it's true. Hopefully this helps.

Idk if anyone will read this but here's hoping I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu LS with P1101 code saying to de ice my air intake system... Now there's a problem I don't understand I live in California and we've been having over 100 degree weather so can someone tell me how to fix this? ( Solutions I've tried so far: cleaning where the intake hose goes and throttle, first cleaned my MAF sensor then just replaced after it didn't work) at this point I'm at a lose

2 things. Your car should have an ambient temperature sensor or an air intake temperature sensor often called an AIT. That sensor is likely faulting. 2nd, your cars intake system may have a restriction before or internally in the charged air cooler after the turbo. The Ecu does a calculation based on intake manifold pressure also known as boost pressure and intake temperature to provide the optimum fuel ratio.

If all of that has already been replaced I would suspect and issue in the wiring somewhere. Also check for vaccum leaks in the intake. Try running you car at an idle and spray staring fluid around the intake manifold and throttle body. If you hear the ilde increase then that's an indication of a vaccum leak.

My car has already been to 2 different places and the keep telling me the same thing. I already had my air mass flow sensor replaced 2 times .throttle body replaced temperature sensor replaced. O2 sensor replaced and even got new spark plugs. Seems as though nobdy can figure the problem out..My car shuts off after turning it on ,shakes really hard at times .And is losing power at a red light once the light is green it sometimes takes about 5 to 7 seconds to pick up..And I was told I did not. have a vacuum leak. I need your help please bro what do you suggest

P0356 ignition coil f primary secondary circuit The PCM (powertrain control module, also known as ECM or engine control module in other makes) is what controls the coil. ... For Error Code P0356, the problem means there's an open or short detected in the driver circuit for coil number 6, or other issues in the ignition process of the coil pack.

@@ad84121 is sounds like you may have loose connections to the coil packs to cylinder #5 and #6 if not then those 2 coil packs might be going out. They site directly on top of the spark plugs.
