2017 Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 (367hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (60FPS)

Our quick Drive & Sound test with the recently revealed 2016 / 2017 Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 pumping out 367 hp and 520 Nm of torque through a 9G-Tronic transmission (weight: 1.595 kg). I mean you can already hear it....what a marvelous SOUND. As I had never driven a C 450 AMG Sport before I didn't really know what to expect from this engine but this short test drive blew me away....very very nice! I mean you could almost say that they took the SLK 55 and made everything better, the low-end torque, the handling, and even the sound! Of course the naturally aspirated V8s are very special but this is a proper sports car with proper sports car emotions. I would even go as far and say that it can take in on with a Boxster S or and Audi TT RS. Unfortunalty we didn't have time to drive it longer as we were mainly shooting the S 63 Convertible;) Please make sure to leave you COMMENTs and a LIKE and please don't miss more AMG footage coming in this week!

+teykiro Solche Handschuhe benutze ich seit 10 Jahre auf langen Autofahrten. Mittlerweile sind die wohl sowas wie ein Markenzeichen des Kanals geworden, ich trage sie natürlich immer noch gerne :)

Also ich muss eines gestehen Der klingt nicht schlecht Aber... Er kommt niemals an den M152-AMG-Sauger ran, nicht einmal ansatzweise... Insbesonders mit einer Klappenauspuffanlage klingt der Alte nochmals brutaler, fast wie ein 6.3er

Ich als "Nicht-Mercedes-Freund" würde mir hier doch ein Manuelles Getriebe wünschen :P bei dem kernigen Sound versaut einem die Popcornmaschine im Auspuff doch alles und zum anderen denk ich mal das man da selber im Getriebe herumrühren will :P Aber Handschalter bei Mercedes sind genauso selten wie weiße Erdbeeren :P

Der SLK, äh... SLC (so ein Quatsch) ist wirklich schick geworden. Ich mochte den SLK schon immer und empfand ihn trotz des weicheren Fahrwerks im Vergleich zu einem TT oder Z4 nie als Weichspüler-Fahrzeug. Im Prinzip hat sich ja auch nicht viel geändert. Seit wie vielen hundert Jahren verbaut Mercedes jetzt eigentlich schon diese Entertainment-Einheit?! Die Klimaregler und Knöpfe der Mitteleinheit hatte ich schon 2002 in einem CLK und 2006 im SLK. Eine Auffrischung wäre wirklich sinnvoll, auch wenn die Bedienung noch zeitgemäß ist: einfach damit mal was neues herkommt!

+Andreas Schmitz Einige Elemente mögen schon etwas angestaubt wirken aber der SLC fährt sich so modern und leichtfüßig wie ein neuer TT oder ein Boxster....Mercedes hat hier Bewährtes so gut verfeinert, dass der SLC sicherlich noch sehr erfolgreich sein wird. Selbst ein "normaler" SLC 300 klingt kerniger als ein TT mit 230 PS.
