I have 5 and hunting with them has been the greatest times I’ve had in the woods. If there was a guy I would love to hunt with, it would have to be Randy Newberg, just a solid guy…

This was great! I have to say I thought that I was the only one that petted and Thanked my bucks! I love it. I miss hunting with my kids. Nothing beats hunting with your kids except hunting with my 80 yr old Daddy. Which this past year may have been my last year year having him out there hunting with me. He might be sitting in his game room waiting to hear my shot this year, which will be ok with me as long as he’s here with me.

What a great hunt, was great to see the kids get their first deer/buck. I never had the chance to do anything but a single wood grouse when I was about 13, I thought once I was in the military I'd try with a few friends but never came about, always thought of trying to get a deer or elk, but now because of some health issues I don't think I can. Hope you have a great day Randy and crew.

One of my absolute favorite videos. I love any hunt that includes children being introduced to the outdoors and having fun and success in the field or on the water. As well as seeing a Wounded Warrior enjoy being out and doing something that he didn't think his body would allow him to. I thank him for his service for sure, as well as you and your crew for bringing such fun and morally correct American country lifestyle to the interweb. 4 solid bucks and a doe in a couple days from the same place. How many Orion 65 coolers did you all have to use to bring all that delicious venison home? Haha
@Fresh_Tracks5 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked it. The coolers were surely full. John is a special guy, as are Gerald and all the members of his family. I'm blessed to get the chance to share camp with them.
@TheWVgoodguy225 жыл бұрын
@@Fresh_Tracks I can tell that they are special people and would be fun to share camp and the woods with. That is what hunting and being an outdoorsman is truly about. Sharing the woods or waters with family and friends in pursuit of a bountiful harvest or at least a good time away from the stresses of the working world.

Gotta pass this on to John. I've been physically active all of my life. A lot of basketball, football, and packing deer out of cedar swamps. It got to a point where the menisci in both knees was deteriorated to the point everyone I talked to recommended total knee replacements. I thought I was in large part done hunting the west. Thought there were some special places I'd never see again. Facing that potential I figured I'd try to lose some weight to see if that would make a difference (simply made sense). I dropped 80 lbs in about 3 months and the difference in mobility and discomfort has been huge. Any need for surgery is gone at this point. I don't even consider it any more. If I feel any discomfort I pop a couple acetaminophen and that takes care of it. Think about it. Carrying around that 80 lbs of extra weight was like carrying around a 50 lb bag and about another half bag of shelled corn. Just think about that for a minute. Kid you not, John. It was easy. The food regimen I followed was simple and based upon the HMR meals you can buy off Amazon. I think one of the reasons it works so well is that the meals are all prepared, are pre-cooked so you can keep them in a vehicle, or in your pack. No hassle. No need for food prep. Talk to your care provider about it. No, I am not in any way affiliated with HMR.

Great job. I have been trying to get my neighbor to go elk hunting. He was wounded in Iraq. He tells me he can't because it is to hard for him. So I keep trying to get him to go antelope hunting. One of these days he will come. He went on a New Hampshire moose hunt last year and got himself a nice bull. So maybe he will be able to go this year.

If I could attach pictures, I would send some of our Manitoba whitetail 4x4 in the 120+ inch range of which I have some good examples hanging over my fireplace and generally weigh ~300 pounds. BTW, all we Canadian Army guys can now grow beards. First time in 33 years for me and two years to full pension retirement for me. Whahoo! More time for hunting if my wife will let me go.
@Fresh_Tracks5 жыл бұрын
