I don’t know how bad or good the Sterling toilet is, I’ve never heard of Sterling before. I see the performance is pretty good so I’ll consider this tolerable and decent

Sterling is basically Kohler's "other" brand. Their toilets are OK.

Sterling is basically budget Kohler

It would be so much better on a different tank

wow- I never thought steering would not stop making those type 1990s and now 2017?

The design is noticeably different but they've been making front flushers since the early '90s and they still make them now.
@christopherdickson2996Ай бұрын
Quite surprised about the performance - it actually did very well for a 1.28 Gal tank toilet and it actually took the washcloth and grocery bag together in two flushes which most would certainly fail this test. Obviously it failed the dishtowel test as expected (front flushers certainly require a larger trapway/trapway opening - as I know from the old UK spec front flusher single trapway siphonic toilets) however considering how it did on the other tests it is actually a decent modern low water consumption front flusher. It could be even better if it had a 1.6 Gal tank (which it would have if it was sold in the UK today). As it stands I would score it 7/10 (which is rather good for a LWC "Low Water Consumption" toilet), still room for improvement which if it did have a 1.6 Gal tank then it would score at least 8/10 (which is good enough for for me to install in my house if I was living in the US as a secondary toilet - my primary (in main bathroom) would be either a 1.6 Gal Kohler Wellworth/Ingenium, an older 1.6 Gal AS Cadet or even a good vintage toilet like a Standard Modernus/AS Cadet or something else I like seen on test). Decent enough if one wants a LWC toilet!
@cameraredeye3115Ай бұрын
All you need is to give it a 90s-2000s Wellworth tank and it would look amazing. With good performance to boot.
@OCC_Plumbing_and_RestorationsАй бұрын
It seems like it would be a good toilet if the water consumption was higher.

Yeah, but it would definitely be better with more water.
@Lonigo77Ай бұрын
Maybe not a weak performance since clearly it is best for textiles and plastic bags not to be allowed to enter the main soil pipe?

Another terlit with thick wide rim. Needs it to deliver all that water to the front flusher holes.

I wonder why they did that

Try it on a high tank or with more water and it should perform better

Decent, but when these plug up, they are very difficult to plunge.
