I just bought a '17 XT Touring. Absolutely phenomenal, best value for money. I actually upgraded from an '08 MB E350. I agree that Subaru has the best CVT on the market

Up here in AK we drive lots of Subarus. If you have an Outback, you better remember where you parked it! It truly is the best value for money though, especially given that purchase prices are very affordable for all trims/models AND they hold their value very well! I am getting ready to purchase a 2017 2.5i Premium. I would love the Touring trims, as I am coming from an 09' Volvo XC90 which has lots of luxuries, but they do not offer the manual transmission like the Premium does. I have driven Subaru CVTs and although they are the best, it's still not as great as a normal gearbox or a manual. Depreciation on my Volvo is terrible. Bought brand new in 09 for 60K, and its only worth 6,500 now! Not to mention the reliability is crap and a few days ago I paid a 7 thousand dollar repair fee because 5 engine components blew up on the highway. In one repair I'm paying more than the car is worth! And considering you're coming from an 08' Benz, I have a feeling you understand my problem.

@@justaguy2770 It’s been 3 months this month and it’s an amazing SUV. Will be great when winter comes. Have always had Front Wheel Drive only so AWD will be nice since I get snow every year where I live.

Want your video I couldn't help but notice that you didn't bring up about the rear seats being able to recline there's these little chords on either side and the rear seats if you sit in the back seat and pull the cord the back seats will recline that's kind of a nice feature to have for long trips haha I loved your tutorial video and review of the Subaru Forester I have one as well and I love it thank you for making the video liked it

PUSH BUTTON START???? I mean c'mon it's 2017!
@earthling19847 жыл бұрын
I will never buy another car with push button start. Had a Subaru BRZ. Once, it wouldn't start. Went to a restaurant, and tried to leave, and no start. I kept messing with things, pushing buttons, looking up on my phone what to do. Eventually after close to an hour, I pushed the button and it started (not sure how it got fixed, it just worked all the sudden). Sold that car a few months later. I'll stick to a real key. All these upgrades on cars are just more things that can go wrong, and if they do stop working, they are super expensive to replace or fix.
@Honeypepper.7 жыл бұрын
Earthling1984 so you'd rather fumble with keys
@earthling19847 жыл бұрын
Yes. I've owned about 10 cars in my driving years (about 17 years). All had keys, except the Subaru BRZ. I didn't find the push start any more convenient. Sure, there was a 'cool' factor to it, for about a week. Keys never were an issue. I can start a car just as fast with a key. There is less to break and be expensive to replace. Also, a key has never left me stranded for an hour due to the car not starting! So, yes, I'd much rather 'fumble' with keys (I don't 'fumble'; my hand eye coordination is through the roof). I like lock / unlock on the key. But no thanks to push button start, touch entry, power liftgate, etc.. All just nonsense and a waste of money.
