Just bought this car in gray, for my son's first car. Found one that was well cared for and lower miles. It has all the paperwork and sticky notes on the service pages for fast reference.

I have a 2018 Forester premium, but it has the optional EyeSight driver assistance system, rubber floor mats, seatback protection kit, and fog lights.

Really love this car so much. Drove one before and really loved it. I have my Kia Soul as well but I am keeping my Kia and Trying to get a Forester just like this one as well. I test drove a Subaru Crosstrek and it as well but I think the Forester would be more in my range since it has the room that I love.

Great review! Planing on getting one of these this year but need to sell one of my current two vehicles before I can do so.

I have a 2014 and it’s definitely not the fastest car in the world but it rides very smooth and the cloth seats are insanely comfortable.

@@patdaveoneil yeah not expecting it to be a powerhouse but hopefully will be decent enough. I live on a hill and was wondering does it have adequate power on hills? Also have you had any problems with your 2014?

@@AMF96 if I’m honest it does have somewhat lackluster acceleration up steep hills, but it’s actually pretty good for a CVT. I actually just purchased mine a few months ago from a dealership and it only had 58k miles (has 60k now) and I haven’t had any problems, but one thing that did concern me was that the engine can be a bit noisy under acceleration when it’s cold, but I did a little research and it led me to believe it’s just a thing with Subarus and boxer engines. I just make sure I warm it up enough before I go driving. If you maintain them properly they’re very reliable engines.

@@patdaveoneil Thanks for the reply and telling me about your experience with it! I’ve sat in a couple of them and they seem very comfortable and pretty well put together. I have yet to actually drive one though.

@@AMF96 I’d definitely recommend test driving one before you buy. Like I said it’s not a race car but it has adequate power and is a comfortable cruiser. I actually test drove a 2015 model with 90k on it and it still drove as if it had only 20k. They’re very well made vehicles.
Got the 2018 base model. It is a great car. Wouldn’t ever dream of trading it in for a different suv. I’ve always loved the Honda CR-V but wouldn’t get rid of my Subaru to get it.

Update: I might be getting the Honda CR-V since my 2007 Corolla is sadly totaled following an accident. I still have my Subaru though and wouldn’t ever trade it in.
