someday i'll buy one of those in that length, but i'd want one with a 14' garage to haul a couple of motorcycles in and a huge master suite in the back and put the guests over the gooseneck.

You guys ought to utilize that floor plan and build out a strict travel trailer without a garage. I like the features of 5th wheel travel trailers, but their ride height and their high profile makes them almost impossible to tow anywhere there's wind. I'm looking for something similar in profile to Ocala equipment, but I have no interest in a toybox/garage area. I have to think I'm not the only one that thinks this way. Closer to the ground and shorter profile overall makes a trailer much more friendly to crosswinds in transit. A 7 ft ceiling would be plenty. You could do well with this idea, especially for traveling families.
@OcalaTrailer6 жыл бұрын
Ah, but Sundowner does build a travel trailer. It's exactly what you just talked about. It's called the "open model" , entire trailer is living space. We have one in stock. Unfortunately most people don't think like you, and only see the high price tag compared to typical 5th Wheel RV's. They think short term. A trailer like this is meant long term though, its built on a horse trailer platform, therefore its built to be tough, and built to last.

Is a toy hauler this long even legal to tow on the expressway!?

Yes, legal limit is 53' just like any trailer pulled by a Semi truck.

This particular one, probably not. Its meant for racers, hence the 26' garage. They can be ordered though with bunk beds or fold down sofas.

It's extremely big and bulky considering the fact it can 9nly sleep 4 people. I thought it had moar features and could sleep moar people.

This is a trailer meant for racers. Not an entire family. They care more about garage space then living/sleeping space.

your trailers have a great foundation and structure but the interior design, materials, fit and finish and colors is extremely undesirable.

Thank you for your feedback. These trailers are meant to last the test of time. This particular model is one of the smaller living quarter packages offered, however we continually work with Sundowner to design and build larger, more luxurious accommodations for clients like you. 22 feet of living quarters and that's what you do with it? Good grief. Also, you don't need 26 feet to store most cars. Tighten things up a bit guys.

Lol, this is a trailer meant for racers. People at the track.. People who not only put their car in there, but also all their tools. And tires. And other miscellaneous stuff. Believe it or not, people want bigger garages! We're working with some who want a 30' garage. Putting them close to 53' overall. They aren't as concerned with Living space as it is just a place for them to shower and sleep.
