Thank you, it was not as fast as I wanted to go and not as fast as the bike would be able to go but due the weather and track condition and also because it was not my bike it was okay. In my channel there's also a quicker lap from 2014 with my old k7. Unfortunately I did not have a camera on my k9 which also did a 7:39 although there was a yellow flag from kesselchen almost to the carussell because of a crash. The optimal laptime with the k9 was 6:57, so much fun!

i love all the keyboard racers and comments. its AMAZING to me how someone on a COMPUTER thousands of miles away can tell just by a video of how a rider rides. his thoughts. the track condition how the bikes set up. and if hes JUST testing and getting used to the track AND bike.. hmmm. i thought he was doing fine. must be amazing to live and ride a,bike 100% all day everyday. make no mistake. man i bet casy stoner would make a video on here and someone in youtube land would yell .." you suck. ! cheers mate good ride

Car guys would say Aventador lapped this track under 7 minutes... Haha, who could afford a supercar or highly tuned car? Hah? At least I can't... so I would stick with Superbikes that do 0-300 km/h in under 20 seconds, cut the 1/4 mile under 10 seconds, and does 0-100 km/h under 3.0 seconds.

Tell me if wrong... The blips didn't sound that good and the early corners (80 km 4th gear) was the vtec like the 2004 vfr rough and scary in corner exits? This bike looks very stable like the old one but crazy/mad above 10000 rpm... for the way it looks should one wait for new quick shifter and eletronic suspention... and is the vtec manageable or, its gonna kick in so hard you gonna wear brown pants in the end of the lap?

Glen Even if you would own a 750 or 1000 L6 I would recommend this upgrade (and I can tell you that because we have both bikes as L5 in our garage) because in my opinion it's a big step forward in every part of the bike while it even became alot easier to ride although it already was very easy before. I mean 750's are great bikes and on tracks without long straights a good rider with his 750 beats the 1000ccm bikes but I really enjoy the 1000's and the riding style you need for it. Would you use it for track days or on the streets?

Already mentioned, got a little bit confused because I changed the shifting scheme 3 times in 3 days. 🙈 mistake begins at aremberg (3rd instead of 2nd, Fuchsröhre 6th instead of shifting from 5th to 4th after the left hander at Fuchsröhre, then normally I downshift before entering the right after Fuchsröhre into 3rd and then into second before entering the chicane at Adenauer Forst. Actually I'm not sure but I think the gravel thrown up by the R8 in front of me (if you look closely at and after Flugplatz where I lift the throttle) got me a bit confused because it's a pretty fast and blind corner and for one moment I thought I have to evade a wrecked r8 🙈😂

The Yoshimura R11 full system just sounds great and also increases power over the whole rpm range due Euro 4 emission shit. Can't tell you exact numbers as I still have to tune it on dyno. I think I'll do a video on that and some track stuff next year

For a completly stock bike she does amazing. I have ridden Kilo K7 (almost stock) and K9 (with tuned suspension) in the past years with Conti RaceAttack Comp. Endurance on the ring. Both already were excellent bikes, the tuned suspension on my K9 was awesome but the L5 (which in this video was fullstock) is a whole other level. The engine works great, extremely smooth power dilivery but is way more powerful and seems to rev endlessly due to the 1000 more RPM. The chassis and the suspension work fine, of course it even would have been better if it was tuned to my weight and riding style but for out-of-the-box it was great. Very easy Handling compared to both of my former bikes but still very very stable. The brakes are pretty good, for really quick laptimes you need to turn ABS off. In my optinion the brakes could be more aggressive but "steel-brake-lines" and some more aggressive brakepads already should to the job. Fading wasn't much of a problem so it wasn't that bad. Another very very good point is the gearbox, it shifts really great can't wait get hands on the "R" Version of the bike with blipper and quickshifter. In my opinion even the "non-R" is a extremly good bike and definately the bike to beat 2017! From what I already tested the electronics work really good but I've no comparison for that and in my opinion thats something that needs to be tested while going for a serious laptime not just while rolling around a bit ;) Hope it was helpful, if you have any futher questions just feel free to ask :)

okay so assuming from him using the clutch to downshift this is probably not the R version, either that or he isn't using the auto blipper to downshift for some reason? Either way good riding, kept it smooth good job.

Hey, it's the standard 2017 GSX-R 1000, so without qs and blipper. Since it was at the beginning of april the conditions were with around 10°C and some wet spots on the sides oft the track not that good for brand new BS RS10 which I'm not a real fan of. Also it was my first ride since Nov 2015 and it was not even my bike so I had to be a bit careful :-D I also have some vids from 2014 with my old k7 on this channel which are a bit faster ;)

Peter Meter auf nem großen Display kann man halt die Einstellungen der Elektronischen Helfer einfacher darstellen. Bei der Bmw ist der Drehzahlmesser analog, aber der Lenker überfüllt mit Schaltern.

commantros exetlos look at my other video with my k7 and the screenshot of the k9 in the comments of that video. It defiantly can go way faster BUT you don't know anything about the bike setup as well as the track conditions and weather. It was sub 10 degrees Celsius and high humidity (already some wet patches next to the grass). Although it was my first ride since Nov 2015 on a brand new bike I just had for a test ride... I would recommend you to wait for new videos with my own 1000 R and then criticize the riding ;)

Hör mir auf, als ich das gesehen bzw gemerkt hab, dacht ich auch nur was war da denn los... :D Hab 3x innerhalb von 3 Tagen das Schaltschema gewechselt und hab mich das ein oder andere Mal an dem Tag verhauen. Mit der K9 warst Fuchsröhre 4. Gang am Anschlag, schaltest kurz vorm oberen Linksknick in den 3. und Forst dann in den 2...Aber denke mal dafür, dass ich seit Nov. 15 nicht mehr gefahren bin und die Bedingungen auch nicht so 100%ig waren ist das schon okay

Absolut! Und die L7 ist ja auch noch sehr neu, da wird man mit der Zeit sicher immer wieder etwas anpassen. Aber der Display ist ja Serie schon mega überladen oder? Das würde mich voll nerven mit den ganzen kleinen Zahlen und Buchstaben. Da hätten sie ruhig mal mehr bei Ducati oder Yamaha gucken können :D

Ja, es ist schon ziemlich voll, allerdings habe ich mich auch nicht großartig damit beschäftigt, weil ich das Bike nur kurzzeitig zur Verfügung hatte, deshalb weiß ich nicht, ob und ggf. wie man das ganze vielleicht noch einstellen kann. Alles in allem aber selbst als "nicht R" ein verdammt geiles Bike, das schon im Auslieferungszustand unglaublich gut funktioniert.

Glaube ich gern, die Japaner wissen wie es geht. Und gerade Suzuki lässt sich ja immer ein bisschen mehr zeit um etwas ordentliches auf den Markt zu bringen. Aber ich muss sagen das mich dieses new Design ganz schön von einem Kauf abschreckt :D das können sie besser! Aber sonst ein klasse Moped - ich freue mich schon auf den Langstrecken Einsatz von S.E.R.T. Mal sehen wie gut die neue wirklich ist :D

Design ist ja immer persönlicher Geschmack und mir gefällt es rundum extrem gut, klar die Standardsachen wie Auspuff und Kennzeichenhalter müssen geändert werden, aber die R mit den lackierten Ramair, dem Tagfahrlicht etc. gefällt mir schon arg gut. Nur die Lieferzeit... :D

You're grinding the shit out of your gears. If You're not using a quickshifter you're supposed to match the revs to the engine speed when you release the clutch. Look up throttle blipping.
