The projector tubes are not designed for HID headlight bulbs, So you'll get mediocre light output and excessive glare... In order to rectify the problem you'll have to take apart the headlights and change the projectors to ones that are designed for the HID bulb... Still either way will void warranty if you have any electrical issues.

If you're buying a car for Apple CarPlay, you shouldn't be buying a car. Yes, some cars might have more features than others and that may sway you but overall, this looks the best and reliability wise, is the best. It's an actual SUV. Not like the hideous Pilot. That minivan-SUV looks horrendous from all angles. Not to mention, its reliability ratings have gone down.

4cyl gets worse mpg than the 6 bc it has to work much harder... More 6cyl instead of all these damn 4's!

most likely its the transmission to blame. Not the engine itself. The 6 cylinder gets a much better transmision than the 4 in this vehicle.

@joestehling3927 жыл бұрын
What about off road capability and long term reliability after driving daily on very rough roads.
@ronochow7 жыл бұрын
The 4 cylinder probably isn't powerful enough to push it along the highway at an efficient engine output, while the v6 would easily propel it at the higher speeds due to the more powerful nature. It's like driving a Prius at ten tenths vs keeping up with it in an M3, the M3 would likely be more fuel efficient than the Prius.

Honestly the 3rd row is kind of tiny for the class (don't think you can sit 3 back there either). The entry to the 3rd row however is terrible; my mother actually hurt herself trying to get back there. Note later in the Pilot, Explorer & Atlas she easily got in & out. Also be warned if you option the 2nd row captain's chairs. Toyota seems to have forgotten about leg height and there is 0 thigh support, and even the salesman at Toyota couldn't find a way to fix it. Then there is the halogen headlights. Fine for the $35k LE 4cyl, unacceptable for the $55k Limited AWD. You buy this car because it is like any Toyota. It will be reliable for years to come & run perfect even with 20,000mile oil changes & service intervals. For my money, take a look at the Atlas or Explorer.

@ d tay . is it true japanese brands like toyota honda are more "reliable" then domestic brands like GM or ford?
@dtay89137 жыл бұрын
randomrazr thats what people say but to be completely honest ive never had any issues out of any of the domestic vehicles ive owned. Back in the 80s and 90s the reliability gap was pretty large but lately domestic vehicles dont have too many issues to my knowledge. Buick is actually one of the most reliable car brands around.
@lunisce7 жыл бұрын
randomrazr Buick is very reliable, but that's one of the few exceptions when it comes to American brands. In general, you'll have fewer issues with Japanese brands (unless it's something big enough that requires a recall)
@randomrazr7 жыл бұрын
@ D Tay and Lucisce: thanks for the reply guys! yeah im torn between a new 2017 toyota highlander, or save a few bucks on a used 2014 buick enclave. the buick is more stylish on the inside, but i do like the extra saftey features that toyota has like lane keeping, auto front collision braking etc. tho the buick has a few like blind spot monitoring. big thing for me is those features cuts insurance down a bit. i guess i cant go wrong either way?
@ZengStudios6 жыл бұрын
BUYERS BEWARE!!!! I currently own a 2018 highlander, been driving it a lot for work. 23000 km now and sad to say, I already had to replace the transmission at 22000km. Covered by the warranty of course but a big disappointment nonetheless. Problem: Transmission became very jerky when accelerating (skipping transmission), when coming to a stop the car would have a very profound jerk that would shake the whole car as if you were rear ended by someone. Solutions: The first time round, Toyota topped off the transmission fluid and reset the onboard computer. It seemed to fix the problem temporarily, until a few days later I had to go back for the same reason. My guess is their new 8 speed transmisson no responding well. The second time around Toyota just outright replaced the transmission for me. So far no issues, but I really hope I dont have to have to go back at another 22000km. At that rate my warranty will expire and I end up with a big hunk of junk. It pains me to write this cause I'm a huge Toyota/Lexus fan. Please read this before considering one.
@ZengStudios6 жыл бұрын
Anthony Molina worst response ever, I'm not even sure what you said. They fixed it cause it still under warranty but thanks.
