I’ve got his car in the Manual version…..in sports life it really goes quick, through 2nd and 3rd you can feel a decent kick back, for 115bhp, it feels like it’s got more than that. I’m thinking of upgrading to the 2.0tdi in dsg for the extra power but I like little 1.6tdi GT. Volkswagen know what they are doing. Great car, a stronger clutch in the manual version is all I’d recommend.

It feels like: even if it might technically be able to go fast, it's a bit steril & flavourless. It's probably a great car to go from A to B, but I just don't see it carving mountain roads & subtly pushing it's limits..

Hi @ihadgoodsushi, I completely recommend this car. Super reliable, very comfortable, cheap and easy to drive too. albert zandvoort Avoid the manual if you can afford the DSG. The DSG is pretty quick and smooth gearbox.

DSG gearboxes have some issues after awhile, and they're not cheap to fix. It pretty much depends how much you wanna have the car.

VW golf 6 DSG owner, after 150.000km gearbox kept getting stuck in the third gear. Had to rebuild it compeltely, it costed 1700 euros.
