They punished SKT for prioritizing the vision control and late game mechanical plays. Well deserved! For SKT fans, don't be disheartened. Faker, kkOma and the rest of SKT played all their heart out but eventually, SSG played better. They will eventually learned from the mistakes and bounce back next year! :)

I do hope so, although I don't really pay much attention to supporting a team at worlds (I just enjoy it in the moment), I felt myself rooting for SKT because they felt like underdogs compared to SSG this year. Why would three time world champions - two being in a ROW - feel like underdogs? Because they're being capitalized on -- SSG learned how to play against SKT and unfortunately, at least from my point of view, SKT wasn't 100% at finals. I think we might see a roster change with SKT as well, as not only was some players performance in the finals a bit rough, but Bang said in an interview last year that he had gotten sick of playing LoL since 2014. He might hang up his jacket. Still, well played to SSG and I look forward to seeing their skins! :)

VioletAscent Definitely there will be a roster change. Huni and Peanut are great addition but they are not perfectly fit on SKT team to be honest. If last year's SKT retained their roster and fought SSG team roster again in worlds, they'll win in my opinion. I'd love to see Bengi on SKT. This is going to be exciting.

Faker throughout 2017 Worlds wore his Jacket in every games. Even in the Finals in game 3 everyone in SKT took off their jackets while Faker still wears it. Faker carried his name even to the end. You can feel his heartbreak when you saw him cry. i dont think its their bot lane. Even tho bang and wolf underperformed in the quarter finals a lot.. they were able to come back in the semi finals. But if you look at how inconsistent peanut and huni are this year it is quite questionable why they even brought huni instead of untara anyway while also it is even more questionable why peanut started the series in the first place when he has been far underperforming compared to blank.

What a year this was the uprising of Misfits, the surprising loss of LongZhu, the intense 5 games of Royal Never Give Up and SKT T1 and finally the shut down of SKT T1 by Samsung Gakaxy this year was very enjoyable. SKT played well, they came up with some crazy strategy in game 2,3 which gave them huge advantages, but Samsung 5v5 was just too good. Samsung always look like they are out of position, which baited SKT to engage, and then obliterate SKT, which is not a small feat. Look back, we could only say that Samsung was too strong, they destroyed KT -their nemesis, and Longzhu, the strongest Korean team on paper, who beat SKT in Korea. SKT had this coming from miles away, but we always believe in the legend of SKT. Legends do die

I'm extremely SSG won, they deserved it and they worked hard for it. They played smart. But I think the reason Faker cried at the end, wasn't just because he lost the Worlds. He went 0-3. And when it looked like they were gonna turn it around at the 3rd round, SSG said, "not today". That probably hurts the most but, Faker will bounce back. Hopefully.

92sieghart Ambition and Faker actually have a history of rivalry between them. When faker first debuted, in the first pro game faker ever played, Ambition wasn't a jungler. He was a midlaner, and arguably the best midlaner in the world at that point. He was fakers first opponent. Faker in that game managed to solokill him and with SK Telecom, Faker dominated LCK and the rest of the world for the next few years. Now, in season 7, Ambition finally gets his revenge. He takes down faker, but this time, it's not just a normal match. He takes faker down in the world finals, and that is definitely something to brag about.

lando mina I don't think it's because of luck they lost worlds.They looked very weak this whole summer and world's split.In fact they are even lucky to get so far, considering how close they were to defeat in several series.So I would say luck was on their side, but it can carry you only that much, Samsung just destroyed world's after being weak in group stage.And they were just the best team in the world. Well deserved for them, SKT needs to change roster and just get back on feet if they want to come back next year
