2018-2019 Accord H&R Wheel Spacers how to install but had fitment issues ☹ Pt.1

20mm H&R spacers. I installed them but did not clear the inside of the wheels. They will only work if you cut the factory wheel studs. I personally do not want to cut them so I looks like I'm aborting this mission. Lets jusy say I'm not too happy!

Yeah the 25mm bolt ons are the way to go. That's what I got for my lexus👌🏾

H&R makes other models that work by replacing the factory studs with extra long studs. You were going to rub on turns anyway with those spacers. You have to measure the gap with 3 people sitting on your trunk.

I've had them almost 3 years my car is lowered and added wider tires with a higher sidewall never rubbed once.

If you didn't check out pt2 of this video. I ended up cutting the studs. I wouldn't recommend drilling the back of your wheel.

Do you have any idea if you would need to cut the studs for the touring wheels? They are different from the sport wheels but idk how much difference there is

Were the studs on the spacers long enough to tighten on your wheels? I just got mine and the studs look short compared to the pictures I saw online. I counted about 20ish threads on the pictures and about 15 on our studs

Absolutely, studs come out just as far when the wheel is mounted as the stock ones. You can check by taking the wheel off and just putting the spacer behind the wheel to see how far the studs come through the other side

Does not work with a 2019 Accord Touring 2.0T either 😒 The wheels don't even have the small indent that yours have, it's just a flush fit. I didn't have to find out the hard way like you did, but thanks for the info vid!

@@DanVilla7 how has the ride holding up after cutting stud. I'm going through the same problem with my is300 on some motegi wheels sp10 17x7 +40 offset. I did a ls400 caliper upgrade and bought a 15mm ichiba v2 spacer and the stock studs did not sit properly. I ended up ordering H&R 15MM with extended studs.

The studs would be too short. I ended using the 20mm just had to trim the studs back. 25mm won't have to.

You could possibly dremel out enough of the wheel where it is hitting. That’s what we do in the NC Miata community.

Dan Villa yeah after I wrote that I watched your part #2. 5 threads is a lot to dremel. The Miata wheels just barely needed to be shaved down. I agree cuting is the only way.

Is this always the case when adding spacers to a car? (having to cut the studs) I just bought a 2011 Accord coupe and was thinking about putting spacers on at some point. Are there specific parts for specific years/models that allow for a more 'plug and play' type of experience? Not too sure I would want to make such a significant, permanent change to my car. Thank you!

It all depends on how thick the spacer is and the back side of your wheel. Some wheels the factory stud just sits right in without an issue.

Unfortunately you will have to replace the whole hub assembly

The part 2 of this video is how they look because i cut them. I'm currently still running them. The rears are easy, you can knock out and replace. The fronts not so much, you need to replace the hub assembly.
