2018+ Accord Type R Turbo Install Part 1 of 2

On this week's episode I'm installing a 2017+ FK8 civic type r tubro on my 10th gen 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 Touring.

These are the following parts you will need to do the swap.
18900-5BF-A01 Turbocharger
18120-RPY-G00 Cover, Tubrbocharger
15535-RPY-G00 Washer, Sealing
90010-59B-000 BOLT,STUD 10X32 (2 quantity)
90012-59B-004 NUT,SELF LOCK 10M (2 quantity)
18233-RPY-G01 Gasket A, Turbocharger
15544-RWC-A01 Gasket, Oil Return Pipe
19524-RPY-G01 Gasket, Turbocharger Pipe
17285-6B2-A01 Gasket, Turbocharger Joint Pipe
19522-RPY-G00 Pipe, Turbocharger Water (A)
Beduan 1/2" to 3/8" Reducer
1/2" 90 degree hose part 80393 from advanced auto(2 Quantity)
4 Hose Clamps to fit over the heater hose ends
2ft of 3/8" coolant hose.
2 Hose clamps to fit over the heater hose ends.

Hey man, I am using your videos as a reference for my install. What are some of the most beneficial tools to have during this install? For example, you have an electric ratchet with extension that has a flex neck on it, I feel like I will run into a step where I am unable to reach a bolt. What do you use? Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this vid. I’m wondering if the parts u mentioned in the description the same parts for 2.0t? Cuz Im going to swap 2.0t turbo to type r turbo. Hondata says “Part list 18900-5BF-A01 Type R turbo 18180-5BF-A00 Type R Catalytic converter 19524-RPY-G01 Gasket, Turbocharger Pipe 19522-6B2-A00 Pipe A, Turbocharger Water” And heat shield of accord will need to be drilled for re-use to line up with the bolt hole on the CTR turbo.

You need a type downpipe and type r dp heat shield. My parts list is comprehensive I came back and edited the need for a 1/2 coolant hose instead of 5/8.

So far so good. No reason to doubt the platform thus far, so far haven't had a warranty claim yet for anything. Feels like my previous 2 accords in terms of quality.

Bruh I am going to do the swap sometime in the next 2 weeks and did u drain your coolant and replace it or you just blocked it from coming all out and left it like that?

I replenished what came out. When you disconnect the lower hose there really isn't a way to avoid a lot of fluid loss coming from the block. I tried to avoid a huge mess but failed.

I would go with oem it's pretty cheap.

I have a 2021 accord I want to put type r turbo is there any specific turbo that I will put ? For example 2021 accord - 2021 type r turbo ?

The turbo listed in my parts list should be interchangeable with the 2021 am not aware of any changes that would impact it.
