Thank you again for the install.🙇 1. The heat works much better. Kids are much more comfortable. 2. The cabinet fans did the trick. I haven't opened the storage door to cool the Mulitiplus since I put them in. We hit 90 degrees today with no issues. 3. The Froli system is awesome. 4. My beloved is, in fact, the best researcher on the planet. Hope to see you on the road. 👋

Heat is always a issue. There is just not much space in airstreams to work with. Especially when you have 4 batteries in there.

Wowzers. That one looks like a difficult install compared to your others. Those folks are lucky to have you doing the install. Are you gonna add HVAC to your resume now? LOL

I been trying to get my RV dealer to install solar panels on my GD and they are having a hard time getting the parts. I been at the Battle Born Site and regret not getting there package in the first of June, When they come available, I plan to getting Battle Born Kit.

Awesome - I hope everything works out with getting the parts you want. If the dealer doesn't come through, give us a shout.

@@TheDryCampers Hello and thanks for the quick repsonse. I spoke to a dealer in the Raleigh, North Carolina, and the sooner he can see me to talk about solar panel is the 27 August, that is their earliest appointment. How hard and can I installed them myself. Seeing how Battle Born isn't selling any solar panel kits at the moment, what vendor would you suggest? Thanks! Ziggy

Good evening. Thank you very much for sharing this great install!! Our Outdoors RV 22FQS Titanium will arrive in October to our dealer in Colorado (we live in southwest CO in Ouray). It would be awesome to bring the trailer to you for an install, but it doesn't seem that would be in the near term :-( I plan to do 4 100ah batteries, a 3k inverter, controller, and it looks like we can get 4 solar panels on our roof. Safe travels!!

Thanks so much @campingalan. Congrats on your Outdoors! Keep an eye out in the very near future as we plan to release our availability very soon. 😁

So if this is a 4 battery system giving us approx. 4000 watts realistic stored energy, and we had a 6 hour runtime of one AC unit in the Airstream in a hot climate where the AC would be running fairly constant during midday using approx 9000 watts of power total with 10 panels on a perfect sun day feeding say 800 watts back into batteries, we would still be at half defecit. Please correct me if calculations are wrong, but wouldn't 4 batteries in this scenario still be insufficient for 6 hr AC run? Would 8 batteries ideally be needed?

I’ve watched a number of your videos and your work is impeccable. I’ve always been curious about the aero dynamics of the rigs with all of the panels on top?
@TheDryCampers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much @occasional RV. The panels would definitely affect aero dynamics, but we haven't noticed it in our gas mileage enough for it to be a concern.

Hello, I need some suggestions on solar for my older RV . I have plenty of bay space. however, I was think of using the bay where the house batteries are currently. Also what would I be looking at cost with a set up of three batteries. I want to run my tv's and my heater with out running my generator. AC would be nice too .But i'm aware that draws a lot of power. Thank you

Would an already prepped for solar Airstream or one that comes with some solar from the factory is an easier install than starting from scratch?
@TheDryCampers3 жыл бұрын
Unless I have to use the factory wiring, I prefer to run my own wire, mainly because I use larger gauge of wire as well as can calculate the loss to ensure the least amount of loss in the wiring. So for me personally I prefer to work on units that are not already prewired or have solar because I am going to most likely remove it anyhow.
@rvnut11333 жыл бұрын
I didn't think of that but it makes a lot of sense, I would like for you to install mine but I see that you have no availability. Do you recommend anyone with the same ethics as you? (I can PM is you prefer) Thanks
