The new mic was fantastic! I could hear you real well! It was fascinating to see how you do the install in the airstream. Keeps everything handy, yet out of sight. Good job as usual! Luvya Mike! (I can say that!)

Great installation. Love the mic you used. It was so clear. Our Battle Born batteries are under the couch of our Airstream. Plus we have 3 panels on the roof. Nice!

Nice work. This will make it more than just a plug and play trailer. Being able to dry camp is essential.

Great video, thanks for sharing. What is in the grey box under dinette bench. "Automation" box and what did you do with the subwoofer under sofa? Thanks
@TheDryCampers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. I relocated the subwoofer further under the couch, oriented so the controls are still accessible. The automation box is to ensure the whole 50Amp coach can run from a single inverter.

You do nice work Mike! I see they had truck wired to charge the batteries, I assume there was a dc to dc charger installed, what size was the charger and what brand? maybe I missed it...
@TheDryCampers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. I do not use the DC to DC charger as I prefer the LiBim (mentioned in the video). Here's Battle Born's video describing what it is and how it works: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIqVk2pnr9SsrMk

I did see that device, but I thought it was an isolator! It looks really small and simple, but it sounds powerful !

did you have to upgrade the existing converter or is the factory installed converter lithium compatible? great video by the way. thanks for posting it and your time!
@TheDryCampers Жыл бұрын
The factory inverter is either removed or disabled because the Victron multi-plus is a converter.
@hsgsports3 жыл бұрын
Hello Mike We have a 2020 Classic like yours. A few questions: why didn't you locate some of the Victron equipment under the wardrobe closet (replace existing and add updated)? Also, did you keep the existing 3 Amp panels when you added the new ones? Thank you.
@TheDryCampers3 жыл бұрын
This specific Airstream has a lighting system with all of the main components in a shelving unit under the wardrobe closet, so there was not additional space for the Victron components. No, I never keep the Zamp panels on installs because of the compatibility of Renogy panels in parallel. The factory Zamp panels do not provide the performance that I like for clients to be able to achieve with the Renogy panels. Thank you for watching.

Do you have any tips on mounting the Renogy panels to an Airsteam. It looks like they no longer make the curved mounts.
@TheDryCampers3 жыл бұрын
Hey there James, we utilize the Newpowa curved brackets and they have been doing a great job. We utilize Renogy z brackets on the inner portion and the Newpowa curved brackets on the edges. amzn.to/2WS0xM5
@jcox33 жыл бұрын
@@TheDryCampers Thanks, the newpowa are just what I have been looking for. I've even tried to 3D print spacers but haven't quite gotten the angles right.

What size fuse would use for a 30 amp Orion when connect to the battery? Are there any pros and cons when considering ibm or Orion?
@TheDryCampers3 жыл бұрын
I personally prefer the LiBim over any other dc to dc because you get more output out of it. As far as a breaker goes, if you're going with the Orion I would use a 50Amp.

For a 10 panel solar system, do you usually wire them in 5 pairs (2s5p)?
@TheDryCampers3 жыл бұрын
On this install and most of my installs, yes, that is typically how I do it.
