Spot on review. Absolutely endorse this based on my own experience. Replaced my old BMW X3 with the model reviewed and what a difference! Brilliant all rounder and cheap to buy second user because Alfas depreciate fast due to out date perception of the brand. Buy one you won't be disappointed it's a hidden gem.

I have an 18 stelvio ti sport volcanic black metallic. It changes colors and sparkles in the sun. My wife loves it. I just got the 2018 gulia ti sport Silverstone metallic with the crema interior. Love them both.

I first had the gulia ,after 50k I traded for the stelvio and allready have 53k both were q4s , in the beginning of September I drove from l.a. to cabo san lu cas , Im going back soon . What a pleasure.

if you have one or planning to buy one I would recommend buying a 2-2 cm widener for the rear axle. It made a huuuuge difference in cornering and high speed driving. With the upgrade it really is solid on the road.

Just drove a diesel Stelvio in South Spain. What is blast! Best steering, power delivery but slow take off due to diesel. Hardly used brakes. Used the paddle shifters to control it. The infotainment seeks dated but it is a driver's car. Putting in order for the quadrifolio.

Bought one last week. Truly this thing handles and carves turns effortlessly and it feels SOOO much lighter than the competition. About 500lbs lighter than the Porsche Macan base suv. I drove a Macan back to back with the Stelvio. I'd rather drive the Stelvio....it's that good. 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and the Macan is 0-60 in 6.3 seconds.Keep in mind that when you option the Macan like the Stelvio, the Macan is at least $10,000 more dollars. If you love to drive... get the Stelvio.

Mine is stunning to drive. Very fast. Handles like like a sport sedan and hard to believe but with only 300 on odo at 75-80 it got 30 mpg and 500 mile range!!

Question. What's the opinion of e84 BMW X1s? I currently own a Marrakesh Brown, Dinan tuned, 2013. It makes 270hp, and 310blft. I live in Colorado and consistently make 5sec 0-60 pulls at altitude. Difference is with the stelvio is that the BMWs cost on 17-21k used with low miles and can still come with warranty. Only sad thing is no Android Auto options in the bimmer...

I test drove it. PRO: fun, huge discounts, zippy after 1st gear, fast zf transmission. Great handling. Comfortable ride. Nice interior. CON: turbo lag, paddles were too big and got in the way of using the turn signal stick, rear view mirror had a frame and looked old, the rear looks like a $25k Mazda CX-5, is Alfa Romeo going to be able to stay in business?

FCA finally makes a good SUV/CUV outside of perhaps the Grand Cherokee. Not sure of any A.R. dealers in the Pittsburgh, PA area, but it would be cool if there was and to be able to check one out. I guess I will have to settle for dreaming and getting on the Alfa Romeo site and build one of the Ti and Quadrafolio in both the Stelvio and Guilia. Another nice review Parker, now if only your gf wanted one of these instead of a Jeep Wrangler. :)

Yes I figured so since they have a limited lineup of basically 3 vehicles like Chrysler, Fiat, etc... I have some RAM, Jeep, Dodge dealers around, but they are not big enough to include the Alfa Romeo vehicles. I am actually about an hour 45 minutes to 2 hours away from Pittsburgh I am sure the bigger cities with those dealers have them. Thanks.

Where did you get the weight for the Stelvio because my alfa dealer told me base models come in around 3800lbs, and 4050lb for the base Sport. I was also told springs on the base and Sport are the same, just the seats and the paddle are what changes.

I generally hate crossovers because they aren’t as practical as suvs and are not as good driving as a sedan. That too, if you are buying an Alfa stelvio, you’d buy it because of its practicality and comfort and not it’s speed. If practicality is what you’re after, then get a Range Rover sport. It has the performance, practicality, more comfort, and is cheaper

It has the same power and weight as a current Honda Pilot though it does have more torque. Also I can’t get past the grille. It looks like derp face. I can make the face myself but I can’t really describe it better than that

The Macan wasn't and still isn't better than the Stelvio except for interiors. The Stelvio is better as an SUV. Its dynamic behavior is better, its engine is superior, as well as the suspension and of course the Giorgio platform where is built upon. It also offers better space and practicality. The Macan is built by Porsche over a VW (Tiguan) platform with an Audi/VW engine (2.0 TFSI).
