Nice video - i like the options on this, I picked up a 3.0T Premium Plus with virtual cockpit, etc - but yours look better loaded - i should have driven the 2.0 - enjoy your car!

That's a very nice Q7. Personally, I would prefer the extra hp of the 3.0L Q7 plus the Premium Plus or Prestige trim levels offer a few more tech and driver assistance features. Unfortunately Audi really nickel and dimes buyers with their option upgrade packages. Even a well equipped Premium Plus doesn't offer air suspension or advanced driver safety tech which is only offered in the Prestige trim. Still, your 2.0L looks sharp in that color with the 10 spoke rims. A good way to get the water off your wheels is to use a leaf blower. I use one on my cars and you never have towel swirl marks or spots. It works great on hot days especially. Enjoy that Audi.

@Crow Killer My 2017 Volvo XC90 T6 R-Design came with 4 corner air suspension, Bowers & Wilkins premium audio, standard advanced driver and safety tech, and all the premium option boxes checked. A similar equipped Audi Q7 3.0L Prestige trim would've cost $10-15K more than the XC90. I really liked the Q7, but Audi won't negotiate their sticker prices on the higher trim vehicles.

I must have written this elsewhere but again, two things I hate (as compared to a 2009 Mercedes ML350 that I own) Is you cannot drive with your windows open neither with the sunroof open. The seat belt lock or click is way down inside that you have to push your palm deep inside. Now the remote, is very weak. You have to be close to lock or unlock. I wanted Remote start, but the dealer adamantly refused. Be careful with the Remote, you could accidentally open the rear door or trunk and not know about it and you have to go to the rear door or trunk to close it.

Great video - thanks for the insight. I'm in the market for a Q7 - now that it's been a couple more months, anything in your opinion change? Still really liking the 2.0? I'm leaning 2.0 and it seems like most that have gotten it haven't regretted it.

I’ve been very happy with my 2.0T Q7. I don’t regret not getting the 3.0T. I just wished Audi offered the heads-up display at the Premium Plus level as that was an option I really liked in the allroad. I have yet to feel the 2.0T Q7 was lacking for power. There has alway been more than enough power for passing even on the two lane back roads of Texas. My best suggestion is to just take a lot of test drives and if possible an over night test drive can you drive it on road you drive on everyday. Thank you so much for checking out my video! New video this weekend!
@joshualewis21726 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Yeah the heads-up display would be nice, but I guess Audi has to save something to entice people to spend the extra money on the Prestige trim. The heads-up display and soft-close doors are the two biggest features you can't add to a Premium Plus.

I am soooo glad I watched your video. I am purchasing a 2020 q7 2.0 and needed to hear these good reviews to place my signature on the contract. It's 2020. Are you still happy with it? The only thing I am carrying in mine is me, hubby and 2 german shepherds, that should be okay right?
@BryanNewton4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video. While I still like the Q7 but there are a few things that I don't like. The lack of a spare tire still bothers me. The Q7 does not offer the same interior space as other SUV in its class. If possible I would suggest an overnight or weekend test drive with Q7. So you can really spends some time with it. My wife and I now have a 10 month old baby and believe it or not my wife prefers to take our 2020 Subaru Ascent for our family trips over the Q7. While I wouldn't talk you out of getting a Q7 - I would just suggest take a good look at other options in the class to make sure the Q7 is the one you really want.
@lefrenchwine274 жыл бұрын
@@BryanNewton thanks Bryan. The space really does not bother me as it's only hubby and I plus two German Shepherds. I would drive solo most of the time as my hubby has a Lexus sedan, but the Q7 will be the vehicle to take on vacations with our dogs. What I was more concerned about was the 2.0 engine vs the 3.0. I really had to use up most of me savings for a 3.0 down payment if I would have chosen that route. But instead, I saved about 7K and got the 2.0. I still don't have it, the dealer is keeping it for me in Dallas until I pick it up in November. But I cannot wait. 2020s interior changed a lot and I love all the tech. As long as you are happy with your 2.0 I think I will be too. Thanks for replying and congrats on your 10 month old little angel❤

Nice Review........Thanks ......Quick question.......How you have set up the google map view for navigation...do you have audi connect/sim card for data or what?
@BryanNewton6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I've subscribed to the audi connect service, to have the google maps with in the virtual cockpit. audi connect is required for the google maps. However you do get 6 months of audi connect with the car. In the US - Audi uses AT&T for data services (with this version of MMI). Thank you so much for checking out my video!!

I have the same vehicle in 3.0T. Mines came with the Goodyear; therefore I am confused. How did you get yours in Pirelli? Did you just ask the dealership to change them?
@BryanNewton5 жыл бұрын
That’s what the car came with - I was surprised by this also. There are a few OEM tires for the Q7. At least for the 20 inch - the Pirelli and the Goodyear are the most common. I don’t have any experience with the Goodyear yet - but the Pirelli’s are great at the beginning but being to produce more noise as they wear and lasted about 30k miles before needing to be replaced. I’m not sure much better the Goodyear would be? Maybe next time I will give them a go.

Did you pay extra for 360 camera and Ventilation seats or did it come with premium plus?
@BryanNewton5 жыл бұрын
I will have to double check for 2018, But for 2019 the 360 Top view camera system comes with the come with premium plus. However the Ventilated seats are apart of the $1550 Warm weather package.
@Gilbertory5 жыл бұрын
I am feeling 2.0 is lacking in power especially if you have 7 people in the vehicle. 252 hp vs 333 hp. When applying gas you feel like the engine is racing or revving especially if you're going uphill. The head room is bit short compared to a 2009 MB M350 I own. The third row seat is a joke. Parking break is electronic thus I wonder should it malfunction how do I get it to a dealer or workshop. Then again I don't know how to undo a malfunctioning parking break. I really wanted a Q7 back in 2009.

8 speed gear will let the engine relax and wont feel that difference compared with the v6 model .

Do you recommend 2.0 over the 3.0 ? Does the 2.0 has enough power ?
@BryanNewton3 жыл бұрын
Yes I’m my opinion the 2.0 has plenty of power. But I would suggest test driving 2.0. Now If you plan on towing a something like boat 🚣♀️ or a camper then I would get the 3.0.

Have you ever consider vw Atlas? The interior is bigger, more family friendly plus cheaper??
@BryanNewton6 жыл бұрын
I did check out the VW Atlas.I really like the Atlas with the R-Line package! For me I like the driving dynamics, and styling of the Q7 better. The Q7 drives a lot smaller than it looks. Also I love the simplistic yet functional interior of the Audi better. Even with the 2.0T the Q7 is just a bit quicker VW Atlas with the V6. If I planned to make more use of the 3rd row - then the VW Atlas would have been the better buy. Thank you so much for checking out my video!
@notinservice37245 жыл бұрын
the Atlas though is all good, it is a front wheel drive bias, with the engine mounted sideways I beleive, the Q7's are inline with a rear wheel bias, I drive a Q5 and going to trade for the inlaw space Q7 2.0

Not having a spare tire was to reduce the weight of the car. Mine is all run flat tires. They are expensive.

Unfortunately yes the allroad is gone .... I traded it for the Q7. No issues with the allroad. It's an ideal daily driver. However right now we just needed more room for the family. Maybe in another year or two I can pick an another allroad or S3. Thank you so much for checking out my video!
