I have had one for a few years now and it seems to be a perfect all round car. At no point have I thought I needed more speed or power it has all you need for cruising and quickly overtaking anything anywhere, Its comfortable and has all the tech you need while being incredibly practical. The boot is a great size and I have fitted all sorts in it from push bikes to assembled office desks and other furniture and it can fit 3 deflated paddleboards and all the oars, pumps, towels and kit so its been great for the family days out. I have wondered what car I would get next and possibly the Audi A6 Avant but again, I haven't thought I needed more boot space at any time, or the Audi A7/S7 but possibly might just get another A5 non S version, Just for some extra MPG as I normally get an average of 40 -46 MPG in the S5 when cruising in efficiency mode, and also its got me up to 11 points on the license so need to wear lighter shoes as this rocket will hit 140mph before you even realise. But to summarise, I cant get enough of this car, I drive it as much as possible, any excuse, It looks amazing and I have loved owning one.

LOL! My car! So I bought this instead of the RS3 because I felt like I needed a little bit more utility...regrets lol...but I've enjoyed it for the last 5 years. Your test drive is good but I think your missing the point that this is more of a grand tourer. The sound deadening and suspension is more luxury than racer so it gives the illusion of a more sedate and slower ride. At one point you hit 80 and I don't think you realized how fast you were going on that street :) As much as I've enjoyed the car the one thing that kills me is getting in and out of it with the low roofline and somewhat bucket seats, such a pain at my old age. Wanting to replace it sooner than later...your golf r and m2 does me no favors in keeping mine :P

It’s a great car! Just a little tight with my tall body and not as fast as the R but definitely a great daily driver with some good pickup!

The S4 is nice but feels like a boat when driving. I test-drove one before. Liked the R way more.

That makes sense because the previous gen golf r only traps 106 vs 111 on the new MK8. These S4/S5 trap 108-109 ish

I am in the market for a new car. And theres a super clean 2018 s5 near my job. Its got 32k miles and they want 30k for it. And im really thinking about buying it. So overall are you happy with yours? And is this a great daily driver car?

That golf in the video wasn’t running good. I’ve ran what that golf ran with a stage 1 low torque 91 octane tune on the street and no tcu tune

You must be referring to a non- MK8 generation. The MK7/7.5 is so much slower than the MK8 and you probably think because they beat the old one they will beat the new one too.

@JVette01 the new one is doing around 4.9 seconds to 100 kmh my s4 is doing a 4 second flat 0 to 100 kmh time and is faster on a roll too
