I'm no mechanic but, changing the oil on your bike is really simple and can save you some money on maintenance. I walk you through changing the oil on my Benelli TNT 135.

On a different guys video he said to flip the oil filter o ring on the kn 112. He said it didn't fit right but when he flipped it was prefect. Did you not experience that?

Did you not run the bike & recheck the level; you’re installing a completely dry new filter? That’s going to take some of the volume of oil. Drain, remove old filter, clean, refit drain plug, fit new filter, fill with oil to max line, run bike for a few minutes, leave to settle, recheck oil & top up... Which oil did you use?

What size is the oil plug? I'm taking about the diameter of the threads...I ordered a magnetic plug but the thread area is too small

If that was the original cheap chinese filter then you need to remove the O ring on the shaft before installing the k & N as it's already got one fitted to the filter

Did you put straight motor oil in your motorcycle? You can’t use regular motor oil in a motorcycle. 😮

All those O-rings for parts involved in doing oil changes make me wonder how well this will hold up in the long run with regard to leaks. Being that these bikes are so new, distributors/dealers are very few and far inbetween, and they don't exactly have a huge aftermarket, I'd worry that it would be hard to obtain those O-rings later as needed. Some you could probably swap in universal O-rings, but that big one for the oil filter cover ... dunno.

Probably best to look for those before needing em so you're set to go. Cause it might take a while to get parts as you say.

Hi sir, loved the tutorial. is there a recommended mileage for replacing the drain nut oil plug gaskets and o-rings? what is your experience regarding them wearing out on average and how much do they cost? sorry for the multiple questions but got a lot of misinformation here in my country that goes against the manual.

I'm not sure on the plug and o-rings question. Mine are fine - I just visually inspect them when I change the oil and if they look worn I would replace them. Sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you. Go on the Facebook forum and ask - there are a lot of riders there that might know.
