I finally received my 540i about a month ago after a 7-month, 3-day wait (individual color), and I must say, it's more than what I expected; particularly, it was rumored that kick-to-open trunk wasn't going to be available due to the chip shortage, but to my surprise it was included! 2023 is the last year of the current generation G30, so if you want physical HVAC buttons, get them while supplies last!

I imagine it's because of pompous old guys like my father who think a backup camera is for people "who can't drive" and that somehow having one makes you less capable. Don't even get him started on blind spot monitor too. It's bizarre

Nice! I will seriously consider this as a viable vehicle option to my list. You failed to mention that this was available in the 3 L turbo diesel! 540D all wheel drive providing 0 to 60 in just over five seconds, and 26/36 mpg! I am a diesel enthusiast and this one takes the cake in its class. It is a later model diesel, as opposed to Audi and Jag cutting off the “D”in 2016…

The reason adaptive steering "quits" is because it's mandated by law to prevent people from trying to make the car drive itself. It's a safety feature so if you take your hands of the wheel, it will turn off after a short time.

I believe that it is the comfort system, it is baggy, because it inflates/deflates as you go around corners, also if there are the massage seats, it will have to accommodate for the movement of those parts as well .. I don't like BMW - these seats look comfy though
