The previous model had more hp but it only did 7.5s. My z4 is 265hp and 1400kg and does 6s but it’s way faster up to 200kph Probably the new transmission is more efficient (the torque converter is smaller and locks quicker so you loose less power) and it is optimized for 0-100kps acceleration

Bmw said the previous x3 30d did 0-100 in 6.2 sec but i recorded 6.7 sec(on a slight incline) nowhere near 7.5 sec tho.

Nah in my country like 95 out of 100 is diesel in that sort of cars. They are almost all registrated as vans, without backseats and driven by the owners from the building-industry or farmers. ;) The one as tested would cost like 115.000 euros with backseats in, but as van like 80.000 euros. ;)

Volvo XC60 T8 is quicker, looks better, is safer, has more power, has same amount of torque and is faster. Oh and cheaper👍 make the right choice

PDriveTV there is literally 0.01 of a second in difference. Oh and also the T8 has a bit more torque

More torque (and more power) doesn't seem to help. This is mainly because the T8 is about 270kg heavier. Also, the T8 is AU$9000 more expensive than the X3 30d; it's not cheaper. Not meaning to be biased, just thought we'd clarify the facts for you and anyone reading :)

And you can't compare a diesel with a petrol on the torque.. The diesel is MUCH more powerfull in the lower rpms. Which means it is much faster with a big industry-trailer, horse-trailer or a camping-wagon after it. Petrol is only for the race-courses, diesel is for the every day work.. ;)
