Talking about base sound systems, it’d be amazing if you’re able to test out the base system on Volvos as well the so called “High performance audio system” on the base xc90 for example.

the base system on volvos are kinda crazy, specially with bass and and how refined, tight and strong it is.

Imo, the base system on Volvo’s has gotten worse. I tried one on the 2024 xc90 with 11 speakers and it was quite disappointing how the detail in the deep bass was pretty much gone, plus the lack of power. But the ones on the sensus v60 with a subwoofer is pretty good.

@@iDiOt5 That’s their top of the line system. Their line up consists of 3 systems starting with their “high performance sound” and then either the Harmon Kardon or the recently add Bose in the ex90 and the top of the line Bowers and Wilkins.

I have this system on my X6 F16, Harman Kardon on my G30 and Bowers on my XM. It's fine, you dont really mind it lacking speakers or bass power in the real world

They sounded amazing. Had some friends with them. The b&w systems afterwards were a big downgrade.

@ I’ve heard most of the bmws since the early 90s. The newish b&w systems were a big let down. The new diamond systems in their EVs are quite good now though.

@ thanks for claryfying. Would you say it's worth it to search an F90 lci with b&w instead of h/k? or it doesn't make a difference? at least aesthetically they look nicer

@ the b&w systems are absolutely better than the hk systems below them. Sadly the hk systems also got much worse.

Outside USA F15 do have 6 speaker base sound system , don't even got tweeter. 9 speaker is already an HiFi sound system in BMW world. BMW 6 speaker is so bad , it just work and have sound don't expect anything else.
