Living in Canada, I am strongly starting to consider a Challenger GT as a Daily driven car year round.

Just bought mine, 2018 GT with the convenience group and some other extras. 15k miles on it so just old enough and enough use so no price ups, and inflation didnt hit it yet.

Thanks for the review. I just purchased a new 2017 leftover for a pretty good price. Destroyer grey. I live in Vermont so this will be my year round daily driver. Should look nice next to my 1973 challenger I spent 4 years restoring.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3yyi2hvmcd9ecU Did it all myself. Next to my family it's the coolest thing I have ever done in my life. 340, 4 spd. pistol grip, Vanishing Point Alpine White. I love driving it. I purchased the lifetime drive train warranty for my 2017 (being a Chrysler and all... you know... just in case.... lol). I hope to drive my GT for many years to come.

I had a Mustang for my first 11 months in upstate NY, and this video helped in making the decision to swap over to AWD Challenger. Nearly 6k mls on her now, its fantastic in the snow and does everything even the family stuff, My fuel economy is around 17mpg, but i have short "quick" drives to work. Great videos!

Brian Makse, forge the internals of course, that A8 Trans can handle around 600 pounds feet so it would be fine, replace half shafts, Driveshaft, add rear diff bracing, & add Trans, & diff coolers, & there’s no reason the car couldn’t handle around 12psi of boost..a lot of 3.6 Pentestar guys are running Superchargers, I just want to see someone be different, & go Turbo..just my opinion bro. Good video as always, keep them coming

I have questions. While driving this car, did you like it? Would you recommend it for someone looking to get something sporty that still handles bad weather well? How's the visibility? Are the blind spots a killer? Can you change lanes in it on a crowded highway with ease, or is it hard to spot traffic coming up from the back right side? These are things that I want to know as someone looking into this car. It really is a beautiful car, and I'd hate to smack it up because I couldn't see the guy in the next lane

I have had mine for a couple of months here in Vermont. Just drove it to Boston yesterday. With my wife and I in the car we were getting just under 31 MPG as indicated on the cars computer with the cruise set at 70. After some city driving and a few off on ramps the trip ended up at an average of 28.6MPG. I have the backup indicator and the little arrows that are on the side mirrors that tell you when there is a car next to you so the blind spots are not bad with that option. It does not have SUV visibility but it's bad. I recommend you take one for a test drive to see if you are okay with the blind spots. They don't bother me at all really. I have about 3,500 miles on mine now. I drive it every day and will drive it this winter and hopefully for the next 10 years. I purchased the lifetime drive train warranty for an exta $1,200 to cover me in case any issues come up. One thing my local machanic an I noticed is how Dodge had "tucked" everything up very nice under the car. There is not a whole lot "hanging" down under the car giving it a nice flat, high clearance. It has all the performance electronics with timers and I pulled a 0 to 60 in 6.3 sec. with the launch control. My car is a 2017 leftover. I found it on Autotrader.com with the options and color I wanted, made a deal with the dealer ($28,997 plus the extended warranty. Sticker on the car is over $37k with sunroof and other option package offered on 2017), rented a car and drove it 450 miles on a Friday and drove it back on a Saturday. I stayed at a friends house that lives near the dealer so the total cost for the trip was less than $400 for me costing me 1/2 gallon of maple syrup for a nights stay at my friends guest bedroom. The car is VERY comfortable, quiet, gets a lot of looks (had a state cop driving a AWD Charger give me a thumbs up as he drove next to me on the highway yesterday in NH), gets as good if not better gas mileage than a Subaru wagon or equal and looks great next to my restored 1973 Challenger. There are a lot of police car parts used on the car so it handles very nice. I was noticing the sway bar while changing my oil last weekend and the thing is super "beefy". I put my 64cm bicycle in the trunk. The rear seats fold down but you can't put the front seats all the way back because of the integral headrests on the rear seats. i am 6'3" and that is not good for me if I am going on a long drive somewhere although if it's only the passenger seat it's not big deal. I hope to use it a lot this winter to go skiing here in Vermont. I will put studded snowtires on it.

I like these cars are okay but the 305 brake horse power equates to about 220 at the wheels at best. Heavy = slow. Add a turbo from factory for 400 and they might have something. Till then I'll stick with Subaru

Crazy the challengers doesn’t get that much hate compared to the awd chargers with less horsepower of 5.. only difference is challenger has more muscle traditional look to make you feel like your in a v8 model . But it’s barely the same in competition
@tuffykt
@tuffykt 4 жыл бұрын
What sucks is Dodge used to make the Charger in an all-wheel drive V8 and then they stopped. Why!? I really wish they would offer the Challenger and an all-wheel drive V8.

I found some steel cop wheels with cop tires and the dog dish hub caps on craigslist for $400. The offset widens the stance. I put on factory mopar bud flaps to help with paint chipping. Looks awesome.
