you can do it without detaching the manifold via loosening the hose clamp and detaching the air sensor connector. there's enough play in the flexible section of the manifold and plenty of wire. And yeah- don't remove the screws all the way- lest you might drop them in the engine compartment. I picked up a $20 STP filter from my local auto zone (as my dealer wanted $60 for the Land Rover part.... and as far as I could tell... they are exactly the same. Definitely a DIY job... for anyone that owns a screwdriver.

Fantastic thanks again! This does seem like Land Rover engineers were showing that they are capable of making some maintenance easy. Pity they didn’t choose the cabin filter🤕

You're absolutely right. The air filter is pretty easy. Cabin filter is...well just plain awful. Glad the vid was helpful. If I do other repairs I'll try to post more vids. It's hard to find info on these for people that like to do some work themselves.
