I own a Mk7 Titanium X and drove a Mk8 Titanium for a few days. I'd recommend the Mk7 over the Mk8 because the only things the Mk8 does better are the infotainment system and its quieter, the rest is exactly the same or worse. like the gearbox for example is much smoother in the Mk7 than in the Mk8. Yes the gearbox is older and doesn't have synchronization on the reverse gear but it works much better when you know how to deal with that problem. when you feel it didn't go in gear properly, and you will feel it when you've lived with gearboxes like that for a while, just put it in neutral release the clutch and rev the engine and it'l go into gear smoothly. mirrors are actually smaller. Stuff like the interior door handles, the handbrake and the gear lever just feels better in the Mk7 than in the Mk8, the Mk8 titanium feels like its of lesser quality than the higher trim level Mk7's. the instrument cluster is oddly positioned, it's not directed to your face but more pointed to your chest which is very weird and takes getting used to. I absolutely love Fiesta's, i've driven several generations one always being way better than the next, but right now i think the Mk7 will be the last i'll have. Normally when i had driven a newer Fiesta for a while and got back in a older Fiesta it felt like an older Fiesta but going from the Mk8 back to my Mk7 felt like coming home after staying in a 3 star hotel for few days.

You said 100 PS and Up got disc brakes...But the 100 PS Models got drum brakes. Only over 100ps Discs. Info from my Ford dealer.

I wish the exterior review could be shorter, I skipped that part as it was long. I think exterior is just something you show people and they will decide weather they like it or not. you could show a few details such as alloys or some bumpers which aren't easy to spot at first sight. I would suggest keep the exterior part short but straight down to the point. Interior could be shortened a bit as well. In fact you could talk about some parts of the interior during driving or at the start of the video as a briefing. I wish you all the best with your Channel.

Good review Kay! I like the details you add. What I feel is missing, which is missing from almost every review(er) out there, is showing the lights. You talked about them like all the other reviewers do but you don't show them when turned on, when blinking, when braking, with high beam, with low beam. For me it's not only the shape of the lights that should look good but also how they light up. Cool light shapes are cool after all. And a question; so the doors don't lock automatically when you walk away with the key? The Mazda 2 has that feature. You have to press a button on the door handle to unlock though, where in this you just pull the door handle which is way cooler. But the fact that you can just get out and walk away is pretty neat.

Hii Kay Whats the kerb weight of the new Fiesta, The old one was 1176 kg dry I guess, and that was a huge reason why it was super nimble

The 1.0 EB is 1164 kg. It's still incredibly nimble, more so when you get closer to the limit. Under normal driving conditions the car feels far more secure, that's porbably the reason why it might not quite feel like it in the beginning. I just took some turns with more speed, and the car is brilliant, better than the old one!

Thanks I am from India and I am really sad that Ford isnt willing to launch this superb car here in India I own one the previous gen one MK 7, its 7 years old now it has the 90PS 205 NM 1.5 SoHC TDCi, Have done over 85000 kms in it so far, still going strong , just wish to replace mine with the new one because of lack luster interior and bad news for us, Ford wont be launching this for us,

Beware, they do not come with mud flaps installed. In just 2 winters (bought the car brand new) I managed to develop rust on the lower corners.

This car doesnt have it, I made a mistake! cylinder deactivation deactivates some cylinders under normal driving to reduce fuel consumption

The Polo is a fine car, just very boring. The Ibiza is a cheap version of the Polo, so interior quality suffers a little bit. Don't go french, and if you do get a Peugeot.

It's stiill sharp imo, just the light shape isn't that aggressive anymore. I'm excited to see what they will do for the facelift. Slimmer lights for sure haha
