I’ve been using forscan lately for used modules. Easier than ids in my opinion. Go in load factory as built data hook up ids after see if the latest calibration is in it

Are you using a vcmll connector or just a data cable from the laptop to the car?

I am having traction control and abs come on intermittent and then usually goes off. Feature is on. Resiv is not low. All speed sensors have been removed and cleaned and inspected but not tested. I recently bought a good scan tool that has full abs included. So waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully it turns out to be a bad speed sensor. Sadly if it turns out to be a bad abs module I cannot just buy a used and swap. From what I’ve seen it has to be reprogrammed. Not something I can do if it comes down to it.

I replaced an ABS control module on a 2012 Ford fusion hybrid with the factory one I programmed it with FJDS using as built data it said configurations complete but it’s not completing.

Three things I am not fond of. Automatic transmissions. ABS. Power steering with no feedback. Why? I seen a operator pick up bricks and stack them with a metal shear on a Komatsu PC 300. The excavator had hydraulic controls with feedback. He could not do it with the new one. Electric controls. Those are cheaper than training the operator. Ask the Army about that. MY point. The best safety device is between your ears. As long it is alert and experienced. Aware of the driving conditions. None of that is needed.
