2:28:00 in case you're curious, the OU player was removed because he was laying down in the end zone before the kick, which isn't allowed. They mentioned it on the radio broadcast.

I don't think it's illegal to lie down in the end zone. The player probably entered the field of play or end zone improperly or something. I can't find the specifics & I don't know what the OK player did, but a basic rule is that players are required to enter the field of play from their demarcated team area. Also, I think players are required to be between the field numbers (or 9-yard marks) at the ready signal from refs (I.e., you can't hide near the sidelines prior to the ready signal).

@@jky3889 OK, looked up more on this, and you're right it isn't "illegal" it's from a new guidance that was handed out on this. Thanks. I was wondering if there was a new rule about the ploy. It seemed strange to remove the player without assessing a penalty, but that new interpretation explains it. TCU tried it against Ohio St this year without any intervention by the officials. However, TCU's touchdown on the play was nullified by an illegal forward pass (TCU vs OSU 2018. 5 min 54 seconds of the 3rd Qtr.).

Its good for a rivalry for this to happen. I'm a Buckeye fan; but losing to Michigan in 2021 is a necessary evil. If they lost yet again, the 10th time, there's no coming back. No way to get recruits, and start mattering again. I want parity, Id love a world where the final 4 playoff teams all have 2 losses. Like The NFL where Champions almost always lost 3-4 games, sometimes more like the 2007 NYG at 10-6 and 2011 at 9-7.

This was Mike Stoops last game at Oklahoma. Riley fired him on the following Monday. Watching OU's D it is apparent why. Poor tackling, guys giving up, poor effort. Ehlinger looked like Superman because of the defense. The secondary was atrocious! Ironic because on Texas last drive Norwood did not PI. He played great D on that play. Either way, if Lincoln Riley cared about defense he would've possibly won 2 natty's. But instead you get games like this that are shootouts because of the incredible offensive players. Sad.
