This will soon be my first car! We're getting it from a close friend of ours, who is getting a 2023 CR-V. It is in near mint condition, with 80,000 miles (although those are almost completely bridge miles, as the commute is going across the New Orleans Causeway) on the odometer, and all of the service records. I am so grateful that I'm getting this car (believe it or not, I was not looking or expecting something this new)! I'm glad I'm getting a reliable, eco-friendly, and most importantly, safe car!

Pay attention! There's a lot of complaints about 2017 Honda CRV. Because of more short trips , more city driving and cold weather, the gas is mixing in the oil of the new 2017 Honda CR-V. The 1.5 liter engine does not warm up sufficiently in cold weather and short trips , runs rich, and leaves un-combusted gas in the oil. This triggers engine warning lights and requires frequent oil changes. Engine performance and drivability suffer. This problem is also being reported on social media by other Honda CR-V owners who drive in colder climates. We are concerned that it is causing long term damage to the engine of the new vehicle. I caution prospective buyers to postpone the purchase of a 2017 or newer 2018 Honda CR-V with the 1.5 liter engine until Honda solves to this problem. The fifth generation CR-V is an excellent car in many respects, but this is a major problem. I cannot recommend the car, particularly to those who drive in colder climates, until a fix is found.

If you are referring to the little rubber mat... it may take a significant amount of pulling on the tab to release it from the insert. Especially if it is stuck down from being dirty.

I own this exact car, same trim and color, and I don't like it AT ALL. In no time, the driver side window started making a straining nose when closing. Next, I noticed that heat rhat is supposed to blow on your feet is extremely wimpy, hardly any air comes out on full blast. As a result, my feet get cold in the winter. If you live in a cold climate, make sure you check this out. Also, the remote power gate works when it feels like it. The tires can't seem to hold air. I'm constantly getting a Low Air Tire Pressure message, despite inflating them per specs. That message shows up so often that I ignore it. But the worst part, by far, is the horrendous center media console. The touch screen is not sensitive enough. You need to really push on it. The entire system is extremely confusing, unintuitive and unreliable. I may sell this car earlier than I wanted to for this reason alone. I wish I had kept looking.

Is there anything you do like about this car?

Interesting, I have the same problems as you, the tire pressure monitoring system is very wonky, it very frequently gives me a beeping sound. I also feel that the touch screen is a bit glitchy at times, but when I connect it to Apple CarPlay it is less glitchy. But other than that, it Is a great car for me, and I’ve had it since June 2018
