@milesmacgregor69384 жыл бұрын
@Gangster of love i race a lot a couple years ago. For pro level its usually about 1200-1600 dollars. Also depends on the class u want to race. Entree/ beginner is usually 300-500 for race setups. You can also get some prebuilt models for the low 200s but usually they are not that competitive and are very limited in adjustability and race capability, they are more just toys to drive outside your house versus the serious machinery you watched in the video. Lots of subtle differences really add up to a lot of speed that cant be accounted for from just a motor. The high end cars can carry a lot more speed through corners then the prebuilt even if it says the pre-built does 70 mph or whatever i wouldnt fall for the marketing gimmicks. So unless you just want a fun car to run on your side street or in a parking lot i would suggest building one. Its a lot of fun and really rewarding if your into that sort of thing even though it is a little more expensive for entry.

I asked if they do FPV races because this kind of racing requires high speed mental rotation beyond the capacity of my humans input. I don't doubt these RC drivers know their cars so well, that most of their race strategy is not reading incoming corners, but more about learning car position into a corner sequence where the driver dials in the level of input for turn and power. I would imagine that this is likes visualisations a 3D map like what they for dyno tuning, car on the track just responds to a area of the 3D graph of turn, power, braking. I'm actually significantly above normal in complex mental rotation and geometry; however it's the speed at which you need to calibrate at that just buckles my mind. I'd literally need to think of it as right/left turn sequence and power/brake level because I'd destroy my car for sure!

Yep, takes a handful of years of practice until you start getting good points at your local club. Then you move up to regional champs, then National. Once in a while someone comes along who can be described as a "natural", who just senses the machine and the surface more easily. Then you get to the world champs. All the drivers are at national level, obviously. These are precise drivers, who are calm when they race. I mean, you can't do this stuff if you're hyped up, you'll make mistakes. And then there's Masami Hirosaka. The man's a legend! He started winning the Worlds from 1987 onwards with his last win in 2004 , but he was still winning his national champs up to 2008. @@Andrei8pa3 no, you can't slow down this fast with the mass of a real car, inertia doesn't change with the type of motor utilised, they have bigger acceleration but that's because electric motors can output the nominal torque from the start, but when it comes to slowing down you have the same mass at the same speed with the same kind of brakes.
