I rented a Lincoln mkt town car from budget and drove it over 900 miles and man .. you have no idea how much fun that was.. I'm a big fan now.

I like the look of the MKT, when people say looks same for some few years must buy new cars all the time, meaning not keeping cars for a long period of time. I can't even find one where I live but find them in bigger cities at Lincoln dealers via online.

I’ve always been intrigued by this vehicle. The shape is definitely polarizing, but I happen to like it. I think this vehicle serves as a viable alternative to the Navigator for people who don’t want something as massive, yet still has three rows. The MKT is likely the slowest selling vehicle built by FoMoCo, which gives it a certain appeal. Like a limited production vehicle. I give Lincoln credit for updating the grille design, despite the slow sales and the fact that the MKT probably won’t see 2019.

Good points. Potential buyers should note that third row headroom is enough for up to 5 footers -- anyone taller will likely have to bend their neck.

The MKT needs to have an embedded modem made standard like the MKC and MKX as well as spot for a smart phone. I had to add a Viper Remote system for controlling the car from my smart phone.

When u do the back seat do u haft to use the button to choose if u want one or the other or both of them then push the button for what you want them to do

The seats you choose, left, right, both is more of a toogle, you don't have to press it, unless you want to change from what was selected the time before that. The button for the actual power fold is seperate from the seats you want to control.

Is the town car option still available?

Yes it will be available for fleet companies. It will have a Livery Package, a Limo Package, and a Hearse Package available.

The only problem i have with mkt is the shape is still the same for 5 years no change . Its a 50k suv with no change whatso ever

depecheddurand Exactly!!! I loved this MKT when I rented it for a week & so did my passengers but the design is starting to feel a bit old. I was over it when i seen the hearse version . I know it's getting discontinued but they should at least give it some of the new Lincoln update

Is there a sunshade available for the rear sunroof?

The sunshade on the moonroof is standard and power retractable for the entire roof opening.

Had a tailgate on my old 2010 MKT that accumulated rain water but would drain when opened, sometimes days after the weather. Was this addressed in future models?

Kind of an out-dated model for a rather high price, though, some features they added to keep it a bit more competitive. With that, it still isn’t all that competitive. Also, the design is not that attractive. Happy they are discontinuing it in favor of the newer designs.

Its EcoBoost twin turbo 3.7 liter, w almost 400 hp n 380lbs foot of torque, awd tracking control.. by no means it's a car so yea if u can't afford gas Don't drive this.🤓😎💪
