I found the MKT for less money than a Ford Explorer, Chevy Traverse or Jeep Grand Cherokee. It had the main features I was looking for which was leather interior, all wheel drive and a large trunk space without having to collapse the middle row of seats. I got extras I wasn't even looking for such as heated and cooled seats, navigation and lights that adjust automatically based on how dark it is out. The more I drive it, the better I like it.

It is a great dog car. I have had 11 dogs in mine. The puppies are hard on it, chewing all the interior widgets. Cool thing is hold the open button on the key fob for 5 seconds and all the window roll down. Great for cooling the car before you get in. Im still sad the MKT and Flex were both discontinued in 2019 and genuinely don't see a good competitor to either of them in the current market. That said, I am biased as the resale values on the Flex and MKT were both rather pitiful, and that was largely the reason I have owned both, with all other used CUV's retaining higher values

I would very much recommend it bacause it is great for hauling around friends. Friends always comment "so much bass" even tho it is the stock THX system. It have more than enough power under the hood and I enjoy suprising my friends when accelerating. So far my gas mileage has been better than advertised and I'm not a conservative driver. I get about 19mpg average and 22 highway. Although I have found on my 6hr trip to college that the mpg at 75 is 21 and at 95 is 23. Which is confusing because I was always taught opposite. I purposely chose a 2012 even though the 2013 s were just arriving on the lot as I bought it, but I didn't want the center stack with no buttons. I wanted to have actual buttons to push as far as I'm concerned the 2010 - 2012 is the best. However fuel economy is definitely not what for it states. I just bought a used 2019 Reserve model. My current vehicle is a 2011 Flex. I would describe my time with my Flex as my love affair with a great car. With the MKT I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY. It has all the equipment I craved on the Flex....the panoramic roof, the dual heated/cooled seats, the lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise, active park assist, emergency brake assist, THX stereo, beautiful "dune" leather interior, and best of all? THE ECOBOOST ENGINE. The car absolutely FLIES!!!! Whether it be from a stoplight or at 70-80-90 mph on the fly, the turbocharged ecoboost literally pins one to one's seat. My heart sings when I blow the doors off of much smaller, lighter, sportier....more expensive cars with my "big-bustle beluga."😊

I got a great deal on an MKT rental from Avis. I had never heard of and MKT and when I saw it, I didn't even know what it was. I thought it was a station wagon. But when I got in it and started to drive, I was in heaven. We all loved this car. It rode at 85 mph (Texas) all day with a smoooooth ride. Even my grandchildren loved it. I didn't use one tenth of the gadgets but the ones I used worked well. Loved it. Don't change a thing.

You are right! It is outdated, but from what I know, both it and the Flex have always surpassed expectations once you have the opportunity to drive and ride in them. Without the new Lincoln front ends it looks way past it's due date. I haven't heard when they'll cancel it for good either, but with the Nautilus and Aviator on the way, one can't imagine it being around for long. Good review on a vehicle that's been "slept on" for years.

Got one and love it!!! It's perfect in the 2010 design, I like that 1920's grill. But it needs a chrome roof rack system for my needs. Over all, my MKT turns heads. Every Person that makes a unpleasant response, change their tune when you ride inside this vehicle. It cost effective as well with so many high feature of Lincoln in a unassuming crossover, I have no regrets. When I park my anywhere it stands alone - all my windows are 20's tint shade and 50 on the front Windshield, that is what turns the heads... people say wow...classic.

It's already being discontinued, only available now for Limo vehicle luxury rental sales. Also the entire Lincoln line up will be getting new Names no more MK. Unfortunately looks like the CONTINENTAL will be discontinued as well.

The new Continental is very ugly. It just seemed Ford tried way too hard to make the car an ultra premium vehicle.

Miguel Navarrete gotcha. I had heard that Ford was discontinuing it’s car manufacturing I didn’t know if that was the case for the Lincoln’s as well but makes sense. It’s a shame bc I happen to like the Continental a lot.

I’ve had the 2010 Ford Flex, which I loved and only lost it due to a deer. I bought the 2012 Lincoln MKT last year with a little higher mileage, but it has been a great car. I would rather think of it as a wagon than an SUV. The other day, I put 6 10’ long 1”x6” boards in the car and closed the tailgate. Try doing that in an Edge. I think the design of the Flex and MKT was unique, and like the Cadillac CTS wagon, we Americans just don’t buy wagons. I think that’s a shame, because these were great cars. I wish we would see a come back of these types of vehicles, that sit a little lower and are more sporty.

I've wanted an mkt ever scince 2010 when they came out and I'm only 16 and I was only 9 in 2010. I would skip the 2013 to 2016 cause I hate the grill and the touch slides for the vol and fan speed the 2017 18 I would live with the touch slides cause I like the grill but the 2010 to 12 had the best grill and center stack. the mkt is SOOOOO quiet inside on the road. Oh and you forgot to mention you can get a cooler in between the cap chairs and you forgot to mention the lumbar support for the second row. Cant wait to get a 2012 Lincoln MKS ECOBOOST next year spring though it could NEVER EVER compare to the Lincoln LS My dad owns. The ls is the GREATEST Lincoln ever made. #1Ls #2MKT #3MKS. I own a 2013 black int on tuxedo black ext. Absolutely love it. I had done a national search for the color and tech package combo, and flew out of state to drive it back. Since had several parties came up to me and ask what kind of Lincoln this is and how much they like it, that's a first time experience with any car I've owned. Its got a presidential-gov-limo-hearse look which I like, More tech then I was used to, more power then my last V8, 3rd row auto folds are fun to play around. All time 4x4 makes me feel safe. Seats heights are perfect slide in instead of drop in or step up. Takes research to like it and takes owning to love it!

I own a 2013 with all the bells and whistles and I love the car. It is a distinctive style which I consider a big plus; so many SUVs look the same. One of my high priorities, when I bought it, was for a car that was easy to get in and out of. I have bad hip joints and this car is the best hight, not so high that you need to climb up to get in, and not so low that you need to climb out. The doors that cover the area under the door opening also make exiting without getting your clothes dirty from road salt and mud.

I have a MKT 2014 in white colour with a gold kit on doors handles, on Lincoln names, briefly a discret gold kit which look great. I have been driving the vehicle for 6 years now and I always love it. Everybody always had very positive comments to do about it. The Ecoboost motor is very powerful doing 0-60 in about 6 seconds which is very good for that size vehicle, the ride is smooth and soudless. Before I never new that soundscreen windshield and sides doors glasses were existing. I have up to 113,000 km (around 79,000 miles) and no mechanical issue with it. I loved that MKT from day one and appreciated it everytime, I need to drive it. Voilà.

I say it's a sleeper car because of the way it looks but the inside is good, this car is not aimed at a young market but Lincoln is well financed to market this car, wats the point of building it if your barely selling your product, it's better than lots of cars on the road now.

I had a 2010 flex and my mom bought a 2014. Both ecoboosts. Best car ive ever owned and she agrees. So much room, good ride height, fully capable people or cargo hauler, can tow 7000 lbs like a body on frame suv (ive done it many times). In fact im looking at buying another...my 2010 had an expensive transmission repair at 160k and I got a durango (but not any better). Mkt is very similar to the flex but i do prefer the flex appearance.

My family of 5 love our Mkt. It's a 2012 with the 3.5 ecoboost, fully loaded including the fridge. One thing I can say is keep up on all your maintenance and use premium gas. We've been through mountains, snow, and just enjoy long trips in it. I have the ability to haul if I'd like and gas isn't really that bad if you can hold back on the throttle. Fun car to drive and own. Kids get a blast from all the bells and whistles.

I own a 2017 Lincoln MKT and I love it! It's definitely a head turner. There are not a lot on the road for sure. I believe they only made a little over three thousand of them. I love the fact that it's different from every vehicle out there. I think the SUVs out there today all look like glorified Ford Escapes. I love the luxurious interior and could care LESS that it might be a tad outdated. Isn't EVERYTHING outdated in 6 months??????? If you want something that's updated, then buy a new car every year. LoL. The cargo space in this vehicle is amazing and the power is awesome. The ride is extremely comfortable and it's truly a pleasure to drive. I have had absolutely NO problems whatsoever with this vehicle. Not one.

Also have a 2017. We bought it used last year after my son got into an accident with my previous car (a Chevy Impala). I wanted something with all wheel drive and almost bought a Taurus, but also kind of wanted an SUV. Most SUV's we found were way over priced. We got the MKT for a lower price than many less luxurious SUV's with way less features.
