I highly recommend the Mazda CX 5 a lot. In February 28 2019 I had a rear end collision of my 2006 Honda Accord (excellent car by the way). It was a total loss so I a bought a pre owned 2015 mazda cx 5. It was the base model. Very light and smooth. Four days after the purchase, I noticed the fuel indicator was still in full and that scared me cause I thought the car maybe had a problem. When I was about to take it back to the dealership the fuel started to go down a little bit. Then I could breathe.

Hello, how's your CX5 doing right now? Based on your own experience, how many km does it go with 1L of fuel?

There are two kinds of countries: those who use the metric system, and those who claim to have landed on the moon. I like this video btw.

Very good video. Why didn't you turn off the engine while you're doing the FE calculations? Idling engine will increase fuel consumption and it'll give you 0 L/100km or 0 mpg. It also will increase the GHGE
@FuelEconomyTest7 жыл бұрын
Hi 7S, thanks for your comment! In order to show the fuel economy numbers we achieved to the viewers (total distance driven, updated fuel range after refueling, new fuel level after refueling, etc.), the engine needs to be on. We leave the engine off while performing the calculations to reduce GHGE, but leave it on for 1-2 minutes while filming. Have a great day :)

The 2018 model apparently has cylinder deactivation under light conditions. Is there a light to let you know whether 2 of 4 cylinders are not being fed? Does the 2018 model actually get better mileage than 2017?
@lucaszavala29536 жыл бұрын
Short answer is no and no. I believe the claim is about a 1mpg gain, which in my opinion mpg gains aren't significant unless you're talking about 5mpg or more.

mine is the same model just awd how many miles in a full tank would u say? probably a bit less then 343

Hard to get accurate numbers when you're "topping off" the tank each time... Something gas stations tell you not to do...

Our test model was the GT equipped with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. Mazda's website claims "Up to 8.3L/100km highway" on our GT test model. Also, around 60% of our driving was in the city. If you do a significant portion of your driving on the highway (or at highway speeds), it certainly is possible to get a lower number.

Rognof Roller The test car has a 2.5 petrol(gas) engine. And your car is a 2.2 diesel engine. Diesel engine are more efficient than petrol(gas) engine.

Za3eeawe is right. The range is usually calculated by taking your past fuel economy and multiplying it by the fuel tank size. If your fuel economy is not that great, then your range won't be that great either.
