so pumped that Simon got a win. I've been cheering for him ever since I started playing disc golf a couple years ago. It feels like he's always been caught in the shadows of Ricky and Paul, so its great to see him and Eagle dominate this tournament. Everyone on this card is an inspiration. Great coverage and great disc golf!
@Startower866 жыл бұрын
I don't think he was caught in their shadows really, he just needed a couple years to mature and get consistent. The season just started and we have to wait to see what the rest of the year brings, but I have high hopes for Simon.
@roberthyland99946 жыл бұрын
Even more so, I think Simon really needed to get it in his head that he seriously could win every event he enters. In other words, fight the urge to always be putting on a show, and saving that extra bit for when it really counts. He just needed to develop his alter-ego that Big Jerm has described.

Smart having the commercials whilst they are tapping out. I used to always skip them, but now I don't. Leave it to Jomez to think smart.

Huge congrats to Simon for the win. Probably my favorite pro to watch and seems like a genuinely nice guy. Thanks also to Jerm and Nate for the commentary and Jomez for the quality coverage. I am really liking the new graphics and ads in the stream of the video rather than breaking it up. Shaving off a good chunk of time over the course of the season for those of us who are watching a lot of disc golf. :-)

SO HAPPY with the outcome! What a dream card... so entertaining to watch. I agree with Big Jerm: Simon has something new to his game... a new poise... this season. We'll see if he can keep it up ;) that roller by Eagle was insane and wish he would have gotten the ace at the end. Amazing coverage, editing and commentary.

Yep. I said it before. The Swiss Olympic Disc Golf Team have all done pretty well, though Catrina's putting took the week off. When you tell kids stuff about working hard to hone and push your game, this is a perfect illustration. And for the rest of you tough guys, you realize that talent alone is never enough. One day, the world will be full of nothing but crush boys. Us old guys will have to take to the forests to survive.

Simon's putting was unbelievable this tournament. Slowed down a tad during the final round, but he earned every bit of this win. And great coverage Jomez! I really liked the birdie/par/bogie colored lines staying above the score at the end of the hole. Made it a lot easier to keep a feel of who was losing or gaining strokes.

I watched him hit the water bottle live. I feel awful for Conrad, but he obviously pulled it. If you're planning on throwing low into OB areas, you need to ask the gallery to move further back. He was def going back inbounds, but the gallery was already 10 feet into OB.
@williamhuffman1766 жыл бұрын
He might have missed the mando. That tree in the shot on the back cam is a mando; those two guys are next to the tree are OB.
@Jesterian6 жыл бұрын
He wasn't planning on throwing there, clearly. Nobody plans to shank a shot. Regardless, there shouldn't be obstructions stopping him from going back in bounds.
@Shealoac6 жыл бұрын
True and false. Errant shots have hit spectators in other sports plenty of times and affected the result. Remember when Shooter McGavin had to play it off Frankenstein's foot?
@williamhuffman1766 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Pros get paid because people want to see them play. Interference will always happen; it's unavoidable. But I still think that shot was going to miss the mando. I was there earlier in the week and a shot went over my head when I was standing about where the bottle was, it missed the mando and sailed past by at least 20 feet.

In Actual Golf...aka ball golf to the Frisbee throwers, spectators are NEVER responsible for what happens out of the field of play. (14:08) James threw his disc OB... Jerm makes it seem like James got a back break... WHAT?!! Dude threw his Frisbee over the sidewalk... If he wants good kicks, stay in bounds. Those spectators that are being blamed are the fans that are making James' pro career possible... Welcome to professional sports, keep it in bounds bro...
