2018 Mercedes E-Class E350e (W213) Instrument Cluser and 12.3" Wide Display conversion

hello, I have just replaced the LCD from an analog display with a small 10'' screen. It is not as simple as the mechanic shows in this video. I have a Mercedes E 220 W213, there is a 10'' command radio and Nav NTG 5.0 on the analog display with a small scratch, and when replacing the LCD digi display you need a radio unit and Navi NTG5.5 on the 12.5'' screen so that the second one works radio and Navi side. but you also need to change the USB unit accounting for NTG 5.5, otherwise the USB will not work. Of course, everything must be coded in the control unit, only NTG 5.5 must be coded so that it is functional and cooperates with the control unit, then the LCD digi display. But you still need to install the latest software for the NTG 5.5''. Then you need to replace the USB port that works with the NTG 5.5'', because the USB from the original NTG 5.0 will not work for you. Of course, you have to finally code the miles in the control unit. new LCD digi display cost 550 pounds, NTG5.5 unit I bought for 220 pounds, coding 400 pounds and new software 50 pounds, diagnostics free. and now everything works as it should without any problems😁

@@donted641 most local places said the coding wouldnt be worth it and either to get a car with the big screen or an android one but imo android in a merc is a bit silly

@@wanted7053im 100% certain there is something you have to do on the software side to make it work. I doubt its 'plug and play'. I've asked other people who sell this.

Called 3 mercedes dealership and they said its not possible. this video only shows hardware replacement, which looks very simple. but the main part is cooding. since it involves odemeter manipulation, new dashboards logically are on zero miles. so one of the things I think coding probably is touching odo number!!! does anyone find how to do coding? without that this is useless.

Never ever ask dealerships to retrofit things. They flat out won’t do it as there is no money to be made. Instead they’ll just try and make you change your car to something more expensive.
