CarAdvice.com I get that the video is only a summary of the full review, but most viewers expect fundamentals such as engine and transmission to be mentioned in videos.

To be honest 1.5 liters 4 speed auto is rubbish, in Thailand some reviewer found that it took almost 17 seconds from 0-100 kph with quite high fuel consumption compare to its rivals
@3dk4yProductionz6 жыл бұрын
You're right - it's crap. Powering the ZS Essence is a spritely in-line three-cylinder, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit mated to a six-speed automatic transmission sending drive to the front wheels (there’s no AWD variant in the ZS range). It’s a perky application and really quite capable, with power outputs of 82kW (at 5200rpm) and 160Nm of torque at a very usable 1800-4700rpm.

Oh yes, that reverse camera will save me a lot of time, until now I had been leaping out of my car with a tape measure to see exactly how far I was from each obstacle, that is just a brilliant feature.
@adzmorris6 жыл бұрын
I found it awesome. There have been multiple scenarios where I need a car to fit in a tiny space only to have the reverse parking sensors beeping there head off, indicating that I have no more room to reverse back but when getting out and checking, finding I have a 20 or 30 more centimetres to go. Having the camera display actual distance rather than just beep, beeeeep, beeeeeeeeeeep, BEEEEEEEEEEP and a camera full of front bumper was very helpful. We managed to park the ZS in a couple of impossibly tiny parks when testing it and the distance measurement was the feature to thank.
@rsoul72826 жыл бұрын
A.K Morris so you managed to park a compact SUV in a small parking spot, and that was all thanks to the magic of an indicator telling you exactly (or probably actually not at all) the distance in centimetres to an object. Fair enough then, may the magic of this technological marvel continue to surprise and delight you with it’s futuristic abilities.

Not a bad looking SUV, there are a lot of styling similarities to Borgward SUV ( still in concept stage ). Dash and various controls neatly well laid out and a nice airy cabin. Price is very enticing indeed.

I recently checked this car MG ZS Auto. it was a very nice unit and with all the Bells and Whistles that are with it. Talk about value, this was certainly value for money. Unfortunately it had one drawback that I did not like, the fuel had to be a minimum of 95 RON and preferably 98 RON, this makes it very expensive to fill the Tank. A bit strange, when our Governments are trying to bring us all down to E10.

YOU HAD ONE JOB !! Car advice has concluded young buyers are more concerned with the stereo and touchscreen than the engine and transmission. I think they have been told this bullshit by car companies keen to emphasize the cheap components in the car rather than the substantial and expensive components. Please stop this terrible review nonsense.....if you want people to trust you..... The base MG ZS has a disappointing 4 speed auto BUT the higher spec 1 litre / 3 cylinder has a 6 speed auto. This type of info is very interesting since the competition in this segment either has a 6 speed auto or terrible CVT's...Customers might like to know this on top of the fake carbon fibre trim !! PS : the "5 things about" bullshit is just that. It's a fucking review, stop trying to misrepresent the video, it's so 2017.
@adzmorris6 жыл бұрын
The title is "5 Things About MG's new small SUV". It's just 5 random facts about the car, not a full review as such. If i'd set out to make a review video, it would be called "2018 MG ZS Review". And we haven't concluded that young buyers are more concerned with the stereo and touchscreen than the engine and transmission. We've never stated that and we are completely aware that buyers of all ages cannot be pigeon holed into such shallow criteria. I'm not sure how you've come to this conclusion when we've covered multiple areas of the cars features in this video. As I stated at the top of this video, we had the top spec ZS and yes, while it's great the gearbox isn't a CVT, we found there were other things slightly more interesting about the car. A far more detailed level of information can easily be found on our website. Again, this isn't a full review video, just 5 fun facts about the MG ZS.

It's shocking that this is named a mg zs after the brilliant zs of the early 2000's such a shame that so many of these SUV cars are about now. Having said that I know it's people making the SUV popular it's just a shame the saloon car is dying out because that are superior to drive and maneuver and some of them actually have more room inside .
