Hey Al, welcome to the Whipple club..I agree with you. 638 is a great number for a warrantied tune. The oil plug made me laugh a bit. You got Blogietest. You don't need to pull the tab up with the screw driver. The plug will twist off in your hand. If your a Michael Mac follower you must spill a quart of old oil for your homies. I got a case of 12 of MC 5/50 FS for $89 off of Carid. Local was $10.80 a court. I am going to upgrade the filter next change.. Have fun Al. Be careful around crowds, now you have a crowd surfing weapon..lol I'm putting together something you need for your updated car stay tuned..

Hello excellent video 👍🏻I’m into all cars I have a 2018 Camaro SS. I never bash any other car manufacturer. I love all Fast cars I see lots of Chevy guys that don’t like mustangs. I love my Camaro but the mustang is a nice looking car as well. I did not do any modifications to the motor yet. I did lots of cosmetic modifications.Enjoy the supercharger.Great numbers 💥🚀

Big D... Hey bud!! I am like you, I like everything! But we all have to make a decision and for me its the mustang. even though i talk a little smack about the chevys, i do like them, but if GM or ford or mopar screws up, i will talk about it! I will also give credit when credit is due. Congrats on your 2018 gen 6 camaro. It's one of the cars i like very much!! I even considered buying one in 2017. Put boost on that car and watch the hellcats run for cover!! LOL! Thanks for posting!!

Real nice job on the video. I just ordered a stage 1 for my 2019 Bullitt. I would be happy with similar numbers. I also like that Whipple has the knock sensors working to keep the engine in the safe range should the gas station incorrectly put regular in the premium tank. Installing myself.

Robert nelson. . . . . the whipple stage is a nice package... decent power with a safe 91 octane tune... you should be happy!!

If you get a custom dyno tune done your torque number should rise substantially. Whipple tunes are very conservative for safety concerns. BTW...welcome to the Boosted Brotherhood!!

tominator... Yes my friend!! I am happy to be part of the Boosted Brotherhood!!! These 2018 coyote's make me a little nervous. i will keep it under warranty for a while until i am sure this motor stays healthy. After that the first thing i will do is tune it to see what i can get before i go stage 2. As it is right now i literally melt the tires to the pavement!

Wow that oil pan plug lol give me an old fashioned metal pan and bolt....your so lucky to have a shop like steeda so close to your home Al...I also run the motorcraft full synthetic 5w-50 in my 2014 Gt....nice numbers for a warranty whipple tune....that’s why I love the tvs blowers the low end torque they provide is awesome....the 2018’s are animals I need my 79mm pulley and 100 octane tune on 2014 I got to keep hanging with the big dogs :)
@coyotecarguy20766 жыл бұрын
Ib0193....Yes my friend!! having steeda close buy is blessing! running the 5w50 is a good idea! better to be safe. Yeah the numbers are good for a CARB tune. This 3.0 whipple has a 3/4 rotor pack which i am told favors mid to upper rpm power. where the previous 2.9 whipple used a 3/5 rotor pack which will make better low to midrange power. The 3.0 works quite well with the 10 speed automatic! I bet your 2014 is an animal! congrats on your build!! Have as much tire melting fun as you can!! LOL!!

@videomaniac1086 жыл бұрын
Very nice numbers there, thanks for posting the series on your car. My rough estimates with the supercharger were that it would be taking about 60 HP to drive the supercharger at max HP and that about 2 lbs of the 9 lbs of boost would be used to overcome the pumping losses. This looks very good for a 3800 lb go fast street car. If you go beyond 9lbs of boost I don't know if you might have to go for things like o-ringing the head and strengthing up the bottom-end, expensive mods. I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale and Boca Raton and would sometimes take my Kawasaki Z-1 to the Everglades to push it hard.
@coyotecarguy20766 жыл бұрын
Jim Nesta.... You are a smart guy! As far as i see it i will not upgrade to stage 2 without upgrading the oil pump gears and the crank gear. Great numbers for a stage 1 kit and whipple tune. Whipple really did a great job with those gen 3,s. Don’t worry too much about the torque, that’s normal since it’s a much smaller displacement motor compared to the Chevy and mopars but these mustangs easily run in the low 10s and faster cause the hp makes up for it.
@coyotecarguy20766 жыл бұрын
jimmy Ripps...Thanks Man! Yeah, The torque would be over 500 if i used a smaller pulley and a better tune. but i will stick with the warranty for now. It runs good though i can tell ya that! Thanks for posting!

Hey Sammy.... Thanks Bro! I am happy with the numbers, I am told that the CARB tune is so wimpy that a simple performance tune without changing any hardware will wake this thing up big time!!! Coyote carguy I can only imagine how awesome that thing must be. Next time I’m down that way I’ll have to take you up on the offer lol. So I guess you have to keep the carb tune to keep the warranty. Hey AL, my old 14 gt track package was filled with 5w50 full syn motor craft form factory and says it on the oil cap. However the 18 gt pp cap says 5w20. ?? So I just think that you using or anyone using 5w50 should be SAFE!!! That damn 5w20 is for cafe mileage EPA To meet. Hell in high temperature states that 5w20 is crappy!!! Good video on the plastic plug, it’s cringy on how that s suppose to stay tight lol 😬 buy a couple extra plug s to keep around they only like $4 each Incase you snap the tap off. GOT TO LOVE THAT SUPER ORANGE 🍊👍
@coyotecarguy20766 жыл бұрын
Mike J...I think you are right! running the 5w50 oil is good for the 2015 coyote. to many people are having ticking problems and i think running heavier oil from the beginning might be the solution. I just can't make that representation for liability reasons. I like your idea of having extra oil plugs on hand. i would hate to change the oil to find out that one is leaking and needs to be replaced and have to drain the oil again. Lovin the orange! LOL!!
@lb01936 жыл бұрын
Yes the 5w-20 is for cafe standards and emissions 5w-50 is where it’s at I put it in my 2014 as soon as I got it. Any insurance for the oil pump and crank gears I will take also
@MasterCarguy44-pk2dq6 жыл бұрын
Lastly, 3 Mustang Engineers told me and a friend that is a professional racer, that the 2018 5.0 is basically an advanced BOSS (Roadrunner) motor. The BOSS took 5w50, the 2011-14 Track Pack took 5w50... Now called Performance Pack. However all the new 5.0's have upgrades that should require the 5w50. FYI, Motorcraft oil is not the best either. The viscosity drops 8-10 points after 1000-1200 miles, thereby making the 5w20, a 5w10, which is not good for a high performance 32valve 4 cam V8. The 5w50's drop to a 40 weight.
@coyotekelly71436 жыл бұрын
I can agree with all of this. My 2018 with 600 miles is ticking. Maybe I will try the 5w-50 when I change my oil

John M Blake .. I would say make sure your engine is healthy. . bore scope, compression and leak down test's. . . . . Stage one comes with an available warranty. .. stage 2 does not. . . current stage one's do not make as much power as mine unless you custom tune it but then you loose your warranty. . stage 2 is pretty stout even with the whipple tune. .. . also make sure the premium gas in your area is a true 93 octane . . with a 12.1 engine anything less can cause serious problems. . if your gas is poor quality you can add some boostane to bring the octane up .. . feel free to view my newer video's a lot has happened since i posted this one! Good Luck!

Coyote carguy thank you. Not sure I’m a good candidate for this stage of power boost. I like the idea of modding. My second Mustang was a Mach 1 ‘69 351 way back in 1971. Mods included: Craiger chrome wheels with wider larger tires on rear and smaller wheels up front; side-pipe mufflers (Caused a few blistered legs); foot-print gas pedal; added speakers and 8-track tape deck; blew the motor and I assisted the mechanic in my family’s garage in removing all the parts, pulling the motor and putting the block in a pickup and taking it to the motor repair shop to have new pistons, rings, and cylinders polished... learned that any bolts left over just got thrown away or put in a box for the next time. 😉

Yeah, this is BS info again the 2015 - 2019 Mustang GT's have no issues running E85 end of story... The only thing you have to worry about with E85 is making sure the fuel system can keep up with the fuel demand... I know people that have been running E85 for 3 plus years no issues I have been running it in for the past 2 years myself on 2 different S550 Mustangs no issues at all. If you are running at boosted Coyote the best thing you can do it get it set up to run E85 it is a safer and cooler burning fuel plus it is affordable. My 2018 GT Stage 2 Whipple put down 806 rwhp and 629 rwtq in 7th gear hitting the 180-speed limiter at 7100 rpm... in 6th gear, it made peak power at 7900 rpm. So my setup on E85 is good for over 830 rwhp easy if I could pull 7th to redline.

I never knew they had plastic oil pans and plugs!! Any aftermarkets making aluminum pans and metal plugs? Just for piece of mind?? Any scrap piece of debris on the road can crack the oil pan.

Can't believe Ford put that type of oil plug on plastic oil pan. Come on Ford. A valve right there would have been nice. Some thing that just turns like a ball valve and let's the oil flow.
@coyotecarguy20765 жыл бұрын
MrDavidelliottjr... That's a good idea, Just put a valve there Maybe i can figure a way to install one.

@@coyotecarguy2076 there is a company that makes them. But I'm not sure if they have them for the 2018. I had one on my 2013 f-350.. all ya had to do was roll under there and open the valve. No oil on you at all.

God Save America... I felt that way at first but really it's only 9lbs of boost with CARB legal tune. Many people are telling me that a dyno tune on this thing will add lot's of torque but i don't want to void the warranty.. Thanks for posting!
@geestang26626 жыл бұрын
That's a low torque...
@coyotecarguy20766 жыл бұрын
GeeStang... Yeah i think the torque would be more but the more i thought about it the more i realized that this blower is producing only 9 lbs of boost. It also uses a 3/4 rotor pack. combined with a CARB legal tune, yeah i am happy with 486 tq. One day i will pulley it for more power. Thanks for posting my friend!!
