this thing is a tank. Armadas genuinely hold up well. there's plenty of the 1st gen rolling around. this gen is still too new, but the body style dates back to 2011 with the QX56/80 so those will be a better judge, which I won't doubt because they're built in Japan.

Armadas are some of the most reliable vehicles on the road today. The engine is very reliable and maintenance is very cheap. My 2012 has 201K miles on it, and the only major repair I've done was replacing the starter. My friend's Armada is older than mine, and he's still driving his. Great vehicle.

Great video. I watched it right before going to an auction to purchased mine. Coming from a 12 durango there's a few things to get used to. It has way more pickup than the durango but it also feels more dated than the durango. It takes some getting used to not having a digital dash.

I'm about to buy one of these with 56k miles. Can anyone tell me any issues they had with the car or anything that i should look out for. I'm going from a gmc yukon to this. I'm looking for something a little more comfortable on road trips . Wanted to stick with the v8 power also. Thanks everyone

The brake stop switch will go bad, causing you to experience “no starts”. You can remedy this with remote start. Some of these have cylinder 7 issues, and adopt a “knocking sound”. This can happen at any mileage. I’ve heard the starters can go fairly soon on these and it’s expensive to replace. I’m actually about to replace my starter on my 2018 armada SV. $1.200 job. For the most part, the power train is reliable, the endurance is one of the best engines ever made. The electronics will fail you before the engine.

I had some trans problems with my 04 armada after hauling gravel for several months. The transmission on this body style is much more reliable than the RE505A that was on the old body style and also the now 7 speeds spreads that force out more evenly
