2018 OSUMB - Fanfare For a New Era

This is the third part of this game day against Rutgers, featuring the team's entrance into Skull Session. The opening piece, "Fanfare For a New Era," was written in 2001 for the opening of the newly renovated Ohio Stadium. The band would not only play this for Skull Session, but out on the field as a precursor to the team's entrance, very similar to what we see here. I believe the last time it was played on the field was the 2011 season, as that was Dr. Jon Woods' last season as band director. This piece is one of the reasons why Skull Session is my favorite part of game day, as it is a very intense piece to play. Lookout for my ramp entrance video coming soon!
