@@jerryhase48 Unfortunately, Kyoto Tachibana SHS band will MOST probably not be at Rose Parade again in 2013/2024 because the Rose Parade Organisers wants some other schools bands from Japan instead. The Green Band Association NO LONGER has the right to decide which band from Japan goes to Rose Parade anymore.

@@set3777 In a recent Kyoto Tachibana video, a poster was shown that had 2024 Rose Parade on it. It seemed to imply that they would be coming back in 2024.

La edición 2018 del Desfile de las Rosas cambió de nombre a: “Kyoto Tachibana Band"... Esas niñas son increíbles, opacaron a todas las demás bandas, durante todo el desfile la gente les aplaudió mucho más que a las demás bandas, que aunque llevaron porra, no se comparó con el éxito de los Diablos Naranjas Música, coeografia, ritmo, sonido, alegría y sonrisas, ésto último destacó sobre las demás bandas que parecía que a sus integrantes los llevaron a la fuerza, miren otros vídeos: la gran mayoría con su cara de palo, las chicas de naranja sonriendo todo el tiempo, ellas lo disfrutaron enormemente... Amo a estas niñas... (Las refiero como mujeres ya que de las aproximadamente 300 integrantes, sólo hay 15 hombres)

最近橘のばかり見てたけど、改めて他の国のパフォーマンスを見ると、動きが少ない分隊列が詰まっていてキレイだなーと思う！なにより人数の多さに圧巻ですね！日本の高校に唯一足りないのはやっぱり人数だな。

Here is something that I will share to you. From an interview with the DM, dressed in black & orange behind the Kyoto Tachibana & Green Band Japan banners. It's long , but needs to be shown. Marching at the 129th Tournament of Roses Parade in 2018: Mr. Yokoyama and the students carefully planned the music order and timing in advance, by taking into account the locations of audience and the directions of shadows in the morning, through the 9 km (=5½ miles) route of the Rose Parade. On the previous night of the Rose Parade, December 31, Mr. Yokoyama walked through the 9 km course, which was being a traffic-free zone for the event, counting his steps, and did a final check as to which songs to play at certain places. Mr. Yokoyama: I remember the cityscape and know the positional relation of all the stores, and the spectator stands along the parade route, so I planned highlights according to those factors. As I was walking alone in the middle of the night, I was stopped by police officers many times and warned to go home soon. Directions for Music Selection at the 129th Tournament of Roses Parade: Mr. Yokoyama not only planned the composition of songs according to the route, but he also instructed the students to change songs flexibly at a sign. Between the cadence and song is typically an 8-count roll-off, but after that a 16-count roll-off that differs from each song was newly added, which enabled the members to know which song was to be played next. When Mr. Yokoyama gives a signal with his fingers, another teacher walking along the drum line, reads it and passes it on to the members. Other times, he makes the band just walk waving their hands to let the brass players ease their lips, where there are fewer spectators. On the other hand, when the gap from the float ahead opens up, he makes the tempo faster to make the band catch up. Thus he was able to control the rank as he would. 110-degree Turn: The 110-degree turn corner from the Orange Grove Boulevard to the West Colorado Boulevard, is the most difficult spot of the Rose Parade. At the same time it is a place where large stands are placed, and an army of live coverage TV booths and TV cameras are lined up. To make a big scene at the corner, in 2012 (when the band first attended Rose Parade), Mr. Yokoyama came up with the “Mario Turn” in which the members of the , outside swings around the turn with high speed at a run. The biggest reason that Mr. Yokoyama was joining the rank at the parade was to direct the right timing for a turn. If the timing is off by one meter, the units will hit the road, but they were able to start swinging within the point of 20 cm this time, too. Mr. Yokoyama: It was just for fun that I directed them to do the “Mario Turn” , at the 90-degree left turn in the West Colorado and Sierra Madre Boulevard later on in the parade too. I tried doing so thinking what they would do if I gave them the “Mario” signal there. Though they hadn’t practiced it at all, they made the turn properly. 他チームの歩行ペースをダンスで乱しているのは橘なので文句を言うのは筋違いかと。。自国愛、わかります。ただ、アメリカでの新年をお祝いしにお邪魔してる身。現地を敬うべきであって、私達が一番だ！というどこぞの隣国のような事を言うのは恥ずべきです。
