Many years ago, I used to bowl in a top league against Norm Duke before he joined the tour. He still uses the same style as then showing how raw power is not needed to score well. Always a joy to watch and especially nowadays.

norm was a power player when he joined the tour. he doesn't throw it anywhere near the same as back then. he throws it much better now. also, this is the PBA50 tour. the reason he doesn't need raw power to score well here is because there's very little to compete with.

Norm is one of my favorite bowlers,, so versatile can change from 4-5 step flawlessly and can play up the boards or swing it with accuracy and can score.. all from that lil frame :) and hes a class act as a person as well

Yes, two handed bowling is the main reason bowling declined. Or it was just bowling's time to decline.
@jeramiescott33646 жыл бұрын
If the kids want to imitate Belmonte what's so wrong with that? For your information I just started bowling about two months ago. I'm just trying to understand your old dog mentality. How are you helping bring new blood into the game with your attitude?
@jeramiescott33646 жыл бұрын
But was bowling not already in decline before two handed players showed up? Help them with accuracy? Teach them the importance of picking up spare pins?
@jeramiescott33646 жыл бұрын
I can respect where you are coming from, the Tim Duncan approach fundamentals are key and show a respect for the sport. I only started two hand because my horrible genetic tendency for my thumb nails to split all the way to the bottom. I have three balls now I hit bowling hard for to be so new lol 1 Brunswick Rhino, Pyramid path rising and a pyramid path my spare ball. Once this split grows out I'll go back to trying one hand. Forgive me if I came across rude.

Lenny 5th frame 7-10 was not about ball placement. The pins were not set up right. Look at video at 33 minutes. The pin rack screwed up and its obvious. Strange commentators didn't catch it but I guess they don't want drama when it comes to money. (When you can see the back pins offset behind the front pins re-rack!) When I bowled in the olden days we'd re-rack often.
