Hey awesome videos They are very helpful and I’ve done a lot of the same upgrades to mine as well, Keep up the great work. About how much did you spend on the winch set up with the bracket and did you run your positive and negative right to the Pulse bar or to the battery? Thanks

Thank you! I wired the winch to the pulse bar not the battery. The winch was 420.00 and the bracket was 53.00. If you look in the description of the video I have links for all the parts. Thanks for watching!

I see you guys hooked up the red wire (key hot) to the 12V AC outlet 8:44, can you please further explain how to wired that and what tool (the blue thing) you used? Thanks in advance!

Sure we had to find a key hot to hook the red wire from the winch up. We used a blue connector that is called a quick splice connector which let's you tap into the key hot wire from the 12v outlet. Basically you are connecting two wires together to get 12v to the winch. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

@@UTVDIRT Alright appreciate it, helps a ton! Last question I promise lol. With the 18" light bar install, does the rocker switch automically come wired to stay lit when you turn the key on and also when you power on the light bar? Cause that's what I'm trying to go for.

No problem. Yes the rocker switch lights up when the key is on.

Did you connect the negative wire from the winch to the bolt coming up from the bottom of the hood ? or the one from the firewall ?

Yes we connected the negative wire to the ground bolt under the hood.

Why did you not take keyed power from the pulse connector?

You could do it either way but decided to save a pulse plug for future accessories. Thanks for watching!

What size and brand tires do you have for your ranger??

In this video they are the stock tires and rims from the factory. I later installed 30X10X14 MSAs on a set of carnivores.

With the two red keyed hot wires from the winch wired remote outlet and the toggle switch, did you slice them both together to the 12v or seperately somewhere else?

We ran the red wire to a key hot which was the accessorie outlet. I believe the other red wire we ran to pulse bar terminal. Hope this helps.

Make sure the top bracket is all the way back when you tighten the screws. I had the same problem and when I made that adjustment the bumper went right on.

Seems like every add you have to remove and then reinstall those “push pins” on the dash. Do they wear and get weaker each time?

No they were fine no issues at all. The tool we used helped maybe if you were using the wrong one I can see them messing up.

another great video, very informative. i just connected my 12" light bar and followed the wiring instructions, but i cant figure out how to get the light not to turn on when the key is NOT in the ignition. so right now when the key is NOT in the ignition i could hit the light switch and the light turns on. i'll be on the lookout when you install your light bar.

Any issues with the toggle switch mount? I bought mic tuning switches off amazon and cut out the hole in the ranger that’s pre cut but the mount is too big now for the new aftermarket switch?

My rocker switch actually fits real tight. No issues at all.

If I remember correctly it was just four bolts to attach to bracket.

@@UTVDIRT well yea but it was a lot more than that. You need to put a bolt in before the winch because (what they don't tell you until after you have it all together and mounted in the bumper) you can't put the bolt in between the metal bracket and the winch.
